Chapter 7

Stephen POV
I was at bible study with my family. I was expecting Ayesha to be here. When Zia came out the blue, saying I was her bae. I know that made Ayesha feel some type of way. We're not together, but I can tell we have some chemistry built up. Brittany was here but there was no Ayesha.
Seth: So where that Ayesha girl at?
Me: I don't know.
I looked down at my bible when Seth said something.
Seth: Oh there she is.
I turned my head looking for her. She was walking in with her mother and she sat on the other side. I was waiting for her to look at me like she usually does, but she didn't. I frowned and looked back down at the bible. I can't wait till we head downstairs so I could see what was going on.
"Alright, can all the children of god make your way downstairs please?"
All the younger audience got up and headed downstairs. The kids that were eighteen and older got to help sister Nina out with her lessons. I was looking for Ayesha when I heard her and Brittany laughing behind me. I turned and saw them stop when they saw me.
Me: Hey guys.
Ayesha gave me a blank stare.
Brittany: I'm going to head downstairs.
Ayesha nodded and it was just me and her. We walked into the waiting room and sat down by each other.
Me: So about earlier, I'm-
She put put her hand up.
Ayesha: It's fine, I get it.
Me: Really? Because I don't want any confusion.
Ayesha: I understand Stephen, that's your girlfriend. It's ok.
She smiled while I frowned.
Me: What?
She frowned.
Ayesha: She called you "babe". Either she's lost or your not telling the truth.
I chuckled.
Me: She's lost! I wouldn't lie about what we are, I told you I wasn't feeling her anymore.
She sighed.
Ayesha: Look, I'm really not for the drama. So maybe you need to tell her that instead if playing games Stephen.

She got up and went downstairs while I sighed. Even though I wanted to tell Zia that we were done for good, I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I also didn't want me and Ayesha's friendship go down the drain just because of Zia.
Brittany POV
After church I decided on going out for some dinner with David. We spent most of the day with each other, an he was really cool. Our schedule wasn't that similar so it wasn't that bad of a hassle to show him around. We were at the table eating our food when I got a text from Ayesha. We were talking about her and Stephen. I guess Stephen's playing games with her and Zia and Yesha's not here for it.
David: What you thinking about?
I looked up at him and smiled.
Me: Nothing, just got caught up or something.
David: Oh ok.
He smiled.
Me: So how was your first day on campus with everybody?
He sighed.
David: Well it was hectic, but fun since you helped me around.
I laughed and blushed even.
Me: You're making me blush.
We laughed. He looked down at watch and his eyes widened.
David: Oh shout!
I frowned.
Me: What? Is everything ok?
David: Uh, yeah. I just gotta get going.
He said getting up. I did too.
Me: Ok, I'll pay you can go.
He frowned.
David: No, I'll pay. You should never have to pay.
I smiled. He left to money on the table and we left. He was definitely fun to be around.
Seth POV
I was outside playing basketball trying to work on my shot. I asked Stephen if he wanted to play but he said no, which was weird because he never turns down a chance to play basketball. I was kind of happy because dad is coming hoke this weekend. Whenever dad comes home we always have fun and play basketball nonstop. When I get older I wanna be in the game just like dad. But I knew that took time and a lot of work in between that time.
David POV
After my dinner with Brittany I went to the hospital. I moved here about a month ago because my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer. Most of my family lived here so we decided to live here also. I applied for Davidson a year ago and they hit me back a couple months ago saying a was accepted. Today was my first day and Brittany was a real big help. She showed me around and even had a couple of laughs with me. I was walking into my mother room when I saw her reading a book. I walked in and kissed her forehead and sat beside her.
"Hey honey, how was your first day?"
I chuckled.
Me: It was good ma, how was your day?
She sighed.
"Well, the doctor told me I only had up to year or a year and a half."
I frowned.
Me: A year and a half of what?
"Life."
I dropped my head. This was something I couldn't hear. I loved my mom with all my heart, so to know her life is limited hurts like hell. I looked up at her, my eyes got watery. She sighed and gave me a hug.
"You know everyone has their time David, and god is telling me it's almost time to go home."
I shook my head and broke our hug. I held her hands and looked in your eyes.
Me: Mom, your not going anywhere ok? Everything is going to be fine. You're going to beat this because your a winner mom, you're a survivor right?
She started crying.
"I don't want to leave you David."
I hugged her.
Me: You're not going to. We're going to fight for this you hear me?
"Yes."
She mumbled. I wasn't letting my Moma go without a fight. And she was going to beat cancers ass.

Awww poor David. But this is the last chapter before school starts so please don't jump on me if I don't update as much y'all. Oh, I see the reads on this and y'all need to COMMENT!
