Dipper and Mabel Pines stood outside of the front of their cabin.

Dipper checked the number. "Yep, this is it. Cabin 25."

The walls were dark grey, and the door was dark red. It was relatively plain, with a dome shaped roof and a nice view to the lake. There were black, poppy-like flowers in the window boxes.

Mabel frowned. "But it's so... plain."

"Maybe it's better on the inside," Dipper sighed as he pushed the door open.

The walls were still grey, but it was more of a dove color. The bedspreads were royal blue, none of them were occupied.

"I guess Chiron wasn't kidding when he said that there haven't been any children of Icelus in a long time," Dipper commented.

Mabel cheered. "I call head counselor!"

"What? That makes no sense! We're twins, so we should be able to split the duties!" Her brother objected.

"Yeah, but I'm older. So rightfully the counselorship should go to me."

Dipper sighed and tossed his duffel on one of the top bunks. "How about we switch off every other day? It's a compromise."

"Ugh, fine." Mabel scrambled up onto the bunk opposite his. "You ready to unpack?"

"Unpacking race?"

"You read my mind, bro-bro."

They started to grab their stuff as fast as they could, each twin trying to get all of their stuff out faster than the other. Mabel won by throwing all of her stuff hap-hazardly around her bunk, while Dipper set everything down carefully.

"Um, hey. You guys are the new campers, right?"

Dipper and Mabel turned to the door. A boy with short white-blond hair, electric blue eyes, and shiny glasses was standing outside. He had an orange Camp Half-Blood shirt on, and an easy smile.

"Dipper and Mabel, right?"

"That's us!" Mabel chirped, jumping down from her bunk. "And you are?"

"I'm Jason Grace," he introduced. "Son of Jupiter, or Zeus if you prefer. I'm the pontifex maximus, and so Chiron and Percy kinda made it my duty to make sure that new campers of gods that don't usually have children are settling in okay."

"Well, I think we're fine," Dipper said, hopping to the floor. "But could you maybe tell us where Wendy Corduroy is? That girl, Tambry, said that she was our guide."

"Sure," Jason smiled. "Just follow me."

The son of Jupiter led them across the camp, weaving between the cabins. Finally he stopped in front of on that was covered in red paint and barbed wire.

"Here it is!" Jason announced. "The Ares cabin. You're lucky that you got Wendy; most of the others can be pretty nasty."

Jason stuck his head through the door. "Hey, Clarrise. Is Wendy in here?"

"Why don't you just ask me yourself?" A girls voice said. Someone walked out of the Ares cabin, tucking their bright red hair over their shoulder. Wendy smiled at Jason. "What do you need?"
