HEY GUYS! Ok so before you read this chapter, remember the chapter titled 'Always'? Where Kakashi and Katsu went on their first date and caught sight of a wanted poster for Sasuke? On that poster it said he had killed people in the Village Hidden in the Sound. Well. Scratch that XD. He killed people in the Village Hidden in the Mist. It was just a small adjustment I decided to make in that chapter that will be important here. Thanks guys. Sorry about that xD. Much to be revealed here! I may be unable to update for a bit after this due to school but who knows!? We'll see how much free time I have :D. Love you guys and, as always, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

No image behind Katsu's eyelids lasted longer that a few moments, the gravity of each one overwhelming. But they were gone almost as soon as they'd materialized, fazing in and out of clarity.

The foremost image depicted the memory of a certain white-haired ninja sensei of the Hidden Leaf Village, smiling behind the cover of a mask. His dark eye, which wasn't covered by a slanted headband, glinted familiarly. One of his hands was raised in a friendly, signature salute.

And then he was gone.

The next image portrayed the picture of three young children, each of them so diverse in appearances, it was almost comical. Each one wearing a smile, even the dark-haired girl with the brooding yellow eyes had donned a minuscule smile. The young boy next to her with spiky, white hair had a mischievous grin on his face and a troublesome glint in his shocking blue eyes.

The girl with high, red pigtails on the boy's other side had her eyes shut in a toothy, childish smile. Behind her, a red-wooden puppet cast an eerie shadow over the three kids, thin strands of chakra almost imperceptibly connecting the puppet's arms to the girl's fingers.

And then they were gone. A haze of red, white, and black trailed in their wake.

Next came the view of a village. A colorful village residing in the trough of intersecting mountain ridges. The architecture of the place ranged from elaborate to tastefully simple.

Across the highest mountain, the one that overlooked the entirety of the village, five faces were chiseled in the barren rock. Each of them demanding respect in their own special way. Four of the faces were male, and the fifth and final, that of a female.

And all five sets of eyes appeared to be looking right at her...

And then they were gone.

Katsu was awakened abruptly by something pulling at her arms. She felt the warmth of the sleeping bag leave her as she was extracted from the folds of its thick material.

"Umgh..." she groaned in protest, trying to claw her way back in. She never had  been a morning person. But whatever gripped her arms was simply too strong. Soon, she was shivering once again on the stony ground. She put her arms over her head to block out the soft luminescence that the sun provided.

"Come on, Sleeping Beauty," Sasuke Uchiha said as he again gripped Katsu's arms, pulling her roughly to her feet.

Katsu finally opened her eyes as she stumbled, remembering where she was. There she stood in the center of their makeshift campsite, standing on the rocky ground. The sun was still low in the sky in order to promote an early morning.

She yanked her arms out of Sasuke's grasp, shooting him a glare. He was still clothed in his tanktop and had donned black denim-like ninja pants that matched the shade. They also matched his eyes and spiky, disheveled hair. He was full of darkness, she thought. From the inside and  out.
