Lara's POV:

It's 4am when Harry and I are waken up by Grace pulling at our covers and hitting us.

"Harry, Lara, something's wrong with mommy!" She cries and says repeatedly.

Harry and I jump out of the bed and run into Anne's room. Her bedsheets are covered in vomit, but it's blood. She's been puking blood. She's sitting straight up in her bed not being able to control when it comes, reason why it's all over her bed. She looks at us with pleading watering eyes.

"Call 911." Harry says.
I run back to Harry's bed room and grab my phone.
"911 what's your emergency?"
"My friends mom is puking up blood, she can't control it. She was diagnosed with Gastritis and Duodenitis two weeks ago."
"Okay 'mam, address?"
I quickly tell her the address and she assures me they will be there in less then 10 minutes.
I don't know if 10 minutes is going to be short enough, like it's all blood. Shit, what if they don't get here in time.

"Harry Harry Harry! Everything is burning up inside!" I hear Anne scream in pain.
I run back into her bedroom and tell Harry the ambulance should be here very soon.
Anne is now laying curled up in a ball, sweat is dripping down her face, she's sweating everywhere, but she's cold to the touch, it's quite strange. Harry has put her hair up so it doesn't keep sticking to her face.

After about three minutes, we hear the sirens, and I run to the door. They come bursting in and Harry waves them over to the bedroom. They carefully lift her up to the gurney on the count of three. They put at oxygen mask over her, and rush back out.
"Here put this on your car and follow close behind us." The one paramedic hands us a little sticky flashing light.

Grace, Harry, and I rush to Harry's car and take off behind the flashing ambulance. I'm not so sure why they didn't just have us come into the ambulance, but okay.
When we arrive to trauma part of the ER they rush us back next to Anne being wheeled into a room. Harry gives them all her information. I end up holding Grace. She may be eleven but she needs to be cared for like this, I can only imagine what's going through her young little head.

"I'm going to have to ask you guys to leave the room." The doctor says, I think he might be Dr.Shall I'm not so sure though.
We get escorted out to the waiting room and we're all lost for words. I don't know why we had to come out here, I'm confused. I'm pretty sure Harry is too. Harry's standing up pacing back and forth in the room. His hands are either at his lips or running trough his locks of curls.

Grace falls asleep crying in my arms, I gently lay her down across the chairs and go to Harry.
"Harry babe, it's alright."
"No it's not Lara!" He says harshly.
I step back a bit but then wrap my arms around him.
He starts crying in the crook of my neck.

We stay like that for quite a long time, then go sit next to where Grace is laying soundly asleep.
"Is she going to be alright?" Harry asks.
"I don't know Harry, we just have to wait and hope for the best." I put my hand on his thigh and slightly rub my thumb in circles. He leans his head on my shoulder, and we sit like that until a nurse comes in and says, "The doctor would like to speak to you now."
Harry picks Grace up and we follow the nurse out of the waiting room and into some different room. The doctor is sitting on a chair, when we walk in, he stands up and greets us with handshakes.
"Please sit."
We go and sit down, Grace still asleep in Harry's arms.
"Is she going to be alright?" Harry asks.
"Well hold on. Let me explain." We both stare intently at him as he continues, "Mrs. Cox has developed into the stage of this disease where there is not much we can do anymore. She's hanging on by a thread. Right now she's in a deep sleep and may never wake up.-" Harry cuts him off by asking, "so basically she's in a coma?"
"Yes that's correct. She's not breathing well either, she's almost gasping for air. Now we can put her on another breathing machine, but as we know that's one of the things that has caused this."
"And the other option?" I ask.
"Let her go." He says, and frowns.
"So there's nothing else you can do?" Harry asks.
"No sir. Her internal bleeding is way worse than expected, she's also developed the highest stage of stomach cancer, Gastritis and Duodenitis usually does lead to Stomach Cancer, Mrs. Cox just moved way too quickly for anyone to handle." He pauses, "I will let you guys talk over your decision, but I need to know as soon as possible." He gives us a slight smile and slips out the door.

"Lara, I don't know what to do." Harry shakes his head.
"Maybe we can go in and see what state she's in and make a decision then?" I question.
"Okay yeah let's ask if we can do that."
We go out of the room and find the doctor and ask him. He leads us to her room, and let's us in.
Harry gasps at the sight. There's a bunch of cords connected to Anne, but no breathing machine. Her heart rate is down very low, she looks so frail and weak, it's a horrible state.

Harry hands me sleeping Grace, and walks over to the side of her bed. He touches her arm and says, "Oh mom, look at you, I'm so sorry." Tears start to stream down his face. He stays like that for about fifteen minutes and then stands up and walks out of the room.
I quickly follow him, he's headed towards the doctor, I guess he's made his decision.

"Okay, you can spend as much time as you want in her room. We will get ahold of any other family members to come and say their goodbyes." The doctor says and quickly walks to the nurses desk to tell them.

Harry slowly turns to face me and grabs Grace, "Grace, sweetie, wake up." He says lightly and shakes her arm a bit. She slowly flutter her eyes open, "Where are we? What's going on?" She asks softly.
"We're at the hospital honey, remember what happened with mommy?" Harry says.
"Oh yeah." Her face falls.
"Lara, can you please try and explain to her what's going on?" Harry asks me with pleading eyes.
"Gracie, your mommy is very ill. It's made her very weak to the point where she can barely breath. And by putting her on a machine to help her breathe, it will make her worse." I explain to her.
She looks up to Harry and asks, "does this mean mommy is going to die."
"Yes Grace." Harry responds slowly with tears streaming down his face once again.
"No Harry! No! Don't let mommy die!" Grace starts screaming .
"Little Gracie, there's nothing I can do." He says and brushes her hairs out of her face.
She buries her face into Harry's chest and starts crying hysterically.
