THIS morning, I decided to leave Stiles's house before dawn, feeling like he needed space. So, I ended up leaving half my clothes at his, and the other half was now in my locker.

Of course, I'd gotten to school late as hell, and I decided to just skip most of the day, but with Scott's new lifestyle, I decided I should check on him after practice.

Which was where I found myself, walking toward the lacrosse field with my Chemistry and English textbooks in my arms.

Stiles had called me a few times during the day, but I didn't know that until I charged my phone in last period and cursed at myself.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Coach shouted, and I looked over to the field to see someone on the ground with him and other players circling around.

Freezing, I glanced around until my eyes landed on the two idiots sitting away from everyone else. My feet moved before I told my brain to, and I listened in on Scott and Stiles's conversation.

"I can't control it, Stiles," Scott was saying in a low tone, making me quicken my pace across the field. "It's happening. Where's Riah? Get Riah!"

"I'm here," I quietly called out, shoving my textbooks into Stiles's arms when he stood up with wide eyes. "We need to get him out of sight," I ordered, grabbing Scott's arm and pulling him up. "Come on," I urged, pulling him behind me as Stiles struggled to put my books in my bag.

A familiar scent hit my nose, and the hairs on my arms raised, making me slightly slow down and look around, observing our surroundings until I spotted my damn cousin watching us from the treeline. "You say a damn thing, and I'll kick your butt," I warned him, knowing Scott could most likely hear but Stiles couldn't.

"Is this normal?" Stiles asked as we rushed off the field.

"To be honest, I'm not so sure," I admitted weakly, pulling a grunting Scott through the empty school. "I was born with this curse, not bitten, so it's a little different."

"Of course it can't be easy," Stiles groaned, and Scott threw his helmet off once we got into the locker room. "Sit down," Stiles told him, and I helped him sit down against a wall. "Scott, you okay?"

Scott lifted his head up to Stiles and me, showing us his glowing golden eyes and fangs. "Get away from me!" he growled.

Stiles fell back, scrambling away as I felt my gums pinch and then my fangs cut through. "Control it," I growled at him, my claws popping through my nails. "If you don't control it, I'll have to hurt you," I warned him, hoping he would listen.

But of course, he didn't.

My body went through the air, crashing into a locker, and I groaned at the sharp pain in my back. Stiles yelled out to me, and I snapped my head to him, hiding behind a locker as Scott jumped onto the lockers in the middle and growled again.
