LAUGHING at Stiles, I watched him run toward the fridge as I followed behind with takeaway boxes filled with Chinese food we got on the way home.

"Do you really need milk that badly?" I asked, watching him throw the fridge door open.

Looking at me with a smile, he grabbed the carton of milk. "No, but I want it," he mused with a chuckle, closing the door behind him.

Shaking my head with a smile, I paused in the doorway as I spotted Mr. Stilinski sitting at the family table with papers around him.

"What you doing?" Stiles asked his dad from beside me.

"Work," his dad answered without looking up.

"Anything we can help with?" Stiles asked, looking like a child on Christmas morning.

"You know, if you poured me an ounce of whiskey, that would be awfully nice."

Stiles rushed over to the bench as I walked toward Mr. Stilinski, holding up the plastic bags. "We got you some dinner, Mr. Stilinski."

"It's not only vegetables, right?" he asked, still focusing on his work.

Laughing, I sat down in the seat across from him and put the bags down on the table. "Well, I may have gotten you a vegetarian dish."

"Are you two trying to tell me I need to lose weight?"

Choking on air, I pulled out the three small boxes and sets of chopsticks. "Of course not," I quickly said. "We're just making sure you're eating the right foods to stay healthy and strong for work."

"You kids stress too much," he chuckled, picking up a piece of paper beside him.

Stiles walked back into the room with a glass and a bottle of Jack Daniels as I placed his dinner near his seat next to me and Mr. Stilinski's near him.

"Any leads?" Stiles questioned, placing the bottle down as he sat and reached for one of the papers.

"Hey!" his dad warned, smacking his hand away, and Stiles groaned as I laughed. "You know I can't discuss that with you two." He looked at both of us and then back at his paper.

"I'm just enjoying my food," I mused, taking a bite of beef mixed in with my noodles.

Stiles started pouring his dad a glass and then stopped, looking at me when there was a shot already poured.

Straight away, I knew what he was thinking and shook my head with wide eyes, but he only poured more.

This is not going to end well.

"Okay," Stiles drawled, putting the lid back on the bottle before placing the full cup in front of his dad. "There you go, Dad."

"You're evil," I mouthed to Stiles when he looked over at me.
