"MR. Stilinski!" I called out, waving my hand with a smile as Stiles's dad turned around with furrowed brows.

"Riah," he chirped with a smile once he realised it was me, and I stopped before him. "You feeling any better, kid?"

"Yeah, I guess," I hummed, looking around to see Stiles sitting on the bench. "One of these days, I'm sure he'll be off the bench."

Following my line of vision, he faintly smiled with a nod. "I'm sure he will, and I have no doubt you'll be the loudest one cheering him on."

My eyes widened as he faced back to me with a knowing grin. "Well—I mean...yeah?" Nervously laughing, I tucked my hands into my coat pockets to keep away the cold when the whistle blew. "Should we find a seat?"

"Sure, but let's go say hi to my son first," he said, still grinning while walking away.

I hesitated, but followed him with my heart racing. For some reason, I had a feeling Mr. Stilinski knew something that I hadn't even told anyone before.

"Hey, kid," Mr. Stilinski said, patting Stiles on the back.

Stiles jumped, looking at me as I smiled before he looked up at his father. "Hey, guys."

"So, you think you'll see any action tonight?" his father asked him, and Stiles side-eyed me and then looked back to the field as I thinned my lips, looking out at Scott, who could most likely wolf out tonight.

"Action?" Stiles nervously mumbled. "Maybe."

Standing straight again, Mr. Stilinski laughed. "Well, I'm going to go find a seat with Riah," he drawled, then faced me. "Will you be staying at ours tonight or the McCalls'?"

Smiling, I glanced at an already smiling Stiles. "If it's okay with you, then I would like to stay with you tonight."

A warm smile fell on his lips as he placed a hand on my shoulder. "Of course you can, kid. Let's go find our seats."

I sent a quick wave to Stiles, and he returned it before I turned away with his dad. We walked past the first stands, and then I spotted Melissa, who was already waving at us.

I guess that was our invitation to sit with her, because we did, and somehow, I was put between the parents.

"Hi, Noah and Riah," Melissa greeted us with a warm smile that I returned as the game started. "Is Stiles playing tonight?"

"Hopefully," Mr. Stilinski answered, smiling down at his son, who had his back to us. "But if he doesn't, then there's always the next game."

"I'm sure he will," I hummed, smiling out at the field where our school's team currently had the ball.

The ball flew from one net to the other until it landed on the ground near Scott, and I sat on the edge of my seat, watching him run for it.

But then Jackson did too, and just before Scott could get the ball, he was shoved out of the way and landed on the ground.
