Chapter 22

Emily

Two years later

Well it sure has been a while since we have talked hasn't it. Where you left off Hunter and I had gotten married, and well everything has been perfect ever since. I have just had a baby girl, who's name is Izellah, and according to legends she is either going to bring peace or horror to the world around her. Why does my life and now my daughter's have to be ruled by legends? Anyway the reason she can cause peace or the world to destroy itself is because she was blessed with the ability to shift into any creature. She is called a multi-shifter and there has only been one other. It's actually really cute because some days I will walk in and there will be a little snow leopard cub in her crib or a mountain lion. The coolest one however was when she turned into a dragon like Bafon or Anbeh. Hunter and I are proud of our family, and since we took the throne we have had no problems with any of the tribes. And everyone was starting to accept that they don't have to mate with their own species any more. Everything was turning out alright.

One night I was going to go tuck in Izellah when I heard a noise come from her room. I begin to run towards her room and I see Hunter doing the same from the other end of the hallway. We both enter her room and see a hooded figure go out the window with our daughter. I run towards the window to try and catch the hood, but I was too late. I scream as I watch my daughter be carried away from our castle home by a large vulture. Tears run down my face as I look at Hunter, "Get Bafon and Anbeh on the phone." "Emily you have no idea where that bird came from." "What do you want me to do Hunter? I can't just let that bird fly off with our daughter! I have to do something, I need to protect her." Hunter pulled me close to him, "And you will. I'm sure of it. But right now we need to tell everyone what happened before we can go out there. I'm sure we can gather up a crew that can help us find her." I nod, knowing that he was right.

We spent all night calling everyone that we had on our side. And our group ended up being two dragons, four sharks, one snow leopard, one mountain lion, two packs of wolves. So basically we got the wedding party plus another pack of wolves, if you don't know Mark's pack has now joined us. We all gather around a large table, and I unroll a map that had every village on it, "Alright Izellah was taken by a vulture, so the know places that vultures are include North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. We will have Mark's pack look in North America, and try to get other packs into it.  Karyn I want you to go with them and try to get some of the other mountain lions to help you." Mark and my god mother both nod and look at each other as I continue, "Tyler and Natalia I want you to search Asia, I need you to search the mountains anywhere they may hide." They nod but continue to stare at the map. Hunter looks at Gema and the other sharks, "We need you to search Africa, and try and get some of the others to help you." Gema looks at us with kind eyes, "Don't worry we will find her." I smile and look at Bafon and Anbeh, "I need one of you two to search Europe and the other to search South America. I am sorry to ask this of all of you, but we need all the help we can get."

I am suddenly interrupted by one of the guards, "My lady, this came for you." He hands me an envelope. I quickly open it, rage causing my blood to boil:

My Queen,

Let's play a game, shall we. As you know I have taken your daughter Izellah. Now if you want to find her you will play this game. I have hidden clues to my location all over the continents you know my people to be. All you have to do is get to each one before the deadline, and you will find me and your daughter.  Here is the question. What is the furthest point from the earth's center? You have three days to get to this point.

Sincerely, Anonymous

I crumple the paper in my hand and throw it on the table. Gema grabs it and starts to tap the table, "I know the answer!" I look at her, "You do?" She quickly nods, "The answer is Chimborazo, Ecuador. I had to learn all this useless nonsense for a game show back in Australia." I ran to the other side of the table and pulled her into a hug, "Thank you so much! Bafon, Anbeh, can you take us all there now?" They both nod and soon we are off to Chimborazo. We fly all through the night and into the late morning of the next day. We finally make it to the mountain and we head for the summit, seeing as it was the furthest point we decided to start there. I get off first and start to search the snow, eventually finding a bright red envelope. The same rage from before bubbles in my veins:
