Man, what a beautiful sun rise to start the book. The sun coming above the horizon is always a beautiful sight being up on a hill in the Denim house. Light shines through the windows every morning, making the interior of the house light up. The light is technically saying wake up to the whole family but the alarm clock wakes up the Denim house more than anything.
The alarm clock suddenly turned alive and blared out noise from it's mechanisms, waking up Jason Denim. Jason is a teenager of about 15 years of age. He has blond hair, brown eyes, and he has an average body build. Making him a pretty normal teenager.
"Why does Mom always set my clock for an early morning on mondays, it's six o'clock. I am not supposed to go to school until 8:20." said Jason lazily.
Then Jason flipped his sheets off his body and stepped onto the floor. He decided to go downstairs and eat breakfast anyway so he has a bit of time to relax. He got a bowl out of the dish washer and got some cereal. He poured the cereal into the bowl well humming the Super Mario Bros. theme. He grabbed the milk out of the fridge and poured it into the bowl with the cereal. Just as he was placing the bowl down on the dining room table, he heard a rumble down the stairs.
His Dad, Michael Denim, came running down the stairs. Jason's Dad is a detective who has solved many mysteries and got his career from doing some on his own accord and then getting into the detective force. He ran by the dining room without a glance at Jason, got a banana (that's what he normally has for breakfast) and started running back to the staircase. Michael wouldn't have noticed Jason if he had hadn't said something.
"Good morning Dad." Said Jason hoping his Dad would hear.
The Dad stopped and looked into the dining room.
He said "Oh, hi Jason, did your Mom set your alarm clock again."
"Ya, she did. I find it is really annoying why she does that."
Michael looking at Jason with a look of surprise came over to him and said "She does it because she cares for you, she wants you to be to school on time. That's why."
Then Jason wanted to drop the topic so he asked
"You got some work to do?" Said Jason curiously.
"Ya, I will see you after school, okay."
"Okay, bye." Then Jason's father stepped out of the room and went back upstairs into his study.
Jason finally finished his bowl of cereal and went upstairs to get his bag ready. He heard his Mom, Diana, talking to herself about how it is so hard to text with your friends and make plans with them. She doesn't really like text, she'd rather just call people by cell. Then Jason stepped into his room and turned on the light. He found his bag and started stuffing in his gym clothes and his class books. It was about seven o'clock when Jason finished brushing his teeth, washing his hair and getting his bag ready, so he decided to text his friend, Levi Baymard.
They texted for a tiny bit and they decided to meet at the school yard at 7:30. So he went downstairs and met his Mom at the front door.
She said "Can I check your bag if you have everything."
Jason couldn't refuse so he gave her the bag and told her he was meeting Levi at the school yard at 7:30. She gave him a big hug and gave the bag back to him. He leaped through the door and ran off to the school yard because it was 7:25.
