As Jason walked down the streets of Cramton to the high school, he noticed there was a lot more hustle and bustle then normal. 'That would be because it is so hot out' thought Jason. A lot of people were walking their dogs and doing runs for exercise which is nice to see.
Now, I might as well talk to you about the little city of Cramton. The city lives on hill and beside the Atlantic Ocean. There is a small bay once you get to the bottom of the hill and that is where the ports are. Most of the city is situated up on the hill so it is pretty nice to see the sun rise above the Ocean every day. There is a big street right next to Franier Drive where Jason lives and the street is packed with stores. Little stores, big stores, independent stores and chain stores. He always loved the smell of the fruit stands, the gardens and flowers when he walked down the street. He got interested in something that was happening inside one of the stores. A man was arguing over something that he couldn't quite make out, it seemed like a trampoline. The guy arguing had a big body build and he was wearing a ball cap and a black winter coat.
"Why would someone want to where a winter coat now, in spring?" said Jason.
"Man, don't get distracted, you are going to be late." said Jason as he took out his iphone 5s. It was 7:29, so he ran down the street to the school.                                                                                   He turned the corner down Islander drive and arrived at the school panting. Jason looked up at the school. Even though Cramton High was built in the 1910s and that it hasn't been refurbished forever, it looked pretty new. It was a three story tall High School. The brick was old, the windows were old, the classes were old. But the part made up of stucco was built in the 70s. It provided a new and much bigger gym, a music and drama area and more lockers. He just stared at the school and kept on saying.
"How does this thing stay up for over 100 years".
Then he heard a shout from the other side of the yard. He looked and saw a boy with brown hair, green eyes, he wore shorts and his normal yellow or green t-shirt. He was a little less fit than Jason, but he knew that kid from anywhere.
"Hey Levi. How was your weekend?" said Jason as loud as he could so Levi could hear.
"It was good how about you?" said Levi panting as he sat down on a bench with Jason.
"It was good. I hung out with my Grand'ma the whole weekend and dang it." said Jason annoyed.
"What, the mathematics test? You didn't study did you?" said Levi curiously.
"No I didn't." said Jason as he stomped his foot on the ground.
"Man, things could be worse. Do you want play some basketball?" said Levi, again curiously.
Jason was just pulling out his mathematics book so he could study but when he saw the ball, he couldn't refuse the question.
"I bet I'll beat you." said Jason as he took the ball out of Levi's hands.
"Oh no you won't." said Levi as he ran after Jason.
They started playing a one on one basketball game and more students started coming on the school yard. Some were scared about the test, some people didn't care about it, and some people were excited about it.
It was 24-24 and the bell was about to ring. Jason shot from the three-pointer line and swished the ball right when the bell rung. A buzzer beater is very hard to achieve so Levi gave Jason a high five. Then the teachers were ushering the kids inside the school and into their classrooms, so they got all their stuff and started walking to the door. Jason's last thought was I should have studied, instead of played. Then the doors closed, the hustle and bustle was gone and the yard was silent.
