As Jason was biking home, it started to rain. Lots of people were getting their umbrellas out and putting them up. Other people were either running to try to get back to their houses, or they were rushing into the stores next to them.
"I'm lucky that I am biking, or else I would be much more drenched."
He thought he was lucky, but then it started to pour a lot more rain and that started to get him annoyed. He then decided to go through the little streets instead of the big ones so he could get home faster. He raced down the streets, going as fast as he could so he wouldn't be so drenched in water.
When he did get home, he opened the big garage door and walked his bike in. He noticed he was really drenched in water, so he new that he was going to get in trouble. As he walked up the steps, he got even more drenched and by that point he didn't really care.
Jason opened the door and stepped inside. He heard a crash, then a big sigh, then a rumble up the stairs. His mom came up the stairs, every step making a massive thud. THUD, THUD, THUD, THUD. She opened the door, and looked around the side. Her face full of annoyance, and frustration.
"Where have you been!?"
"Well, I have been-"
"We have been so worried!"
Then Jason's dad came up the stairs and around the door. He saw his wife, being a bit to angry at Jason.
"Diana, please, don't over do on the anger."
"But we were so scared about him." Said Diana almost crying.
"It's okay, our son is here now, and we will just have to find out what made him so late."
Then Michael looked over to Jason and gave him a look like tell us now.
"Well I kind of got into a problem with my friend Colin and then we watched a movie so that's what happened, okay." Jason lied.
"What about the prickles on your t-shirt and shorts?" Asked Jason's dad.
"I crashed into a prickle bush on the way back."
"Okay, thank you for telling us the answer."
Then Jason's dad brought a crying Diana to the basement steps and told her to go downstairs and wait for them. Then she went downstairs and closed the basement door behind her. Michael then turned to Jason.
"You go upstairs buddy, and get changed into your pyjamas, the news is on, I think you'll be interested."
"I'll come."
"Okay, we will be waiting."
Then Jason's dad went downstairs. Jason ran upstairs and into his bedroom, he took off his shorts and put on his pyjama pants and ran back downstairs. Once he got to the main floor, he went over to the fridge to get a drink of water. Jason filled up the cup and drank it all in four gulps.
Jason opened the door to the basement, and went down the steps. He arrived at the basement couch with a mom saying "How are you doing, sorry for the problem upstairs."
"It's fine mom, don't worry about it."
Then Jason sat down on the couch next to his dad. Michael apparently paused it on a crisis that he couldn't read yet. Jason's dad pressed play and Jason saw the headline knowledge found on Rollercoaster park mystery.
That really scared Jason, what if they new who he was, would he be arrested, would he be questioned? He didn't know what would happen but he didn't want to think about it anymore because the reporter started talking.
"A lot of people know about the Rollercoaster Park mystery, we have been following the mystery for the past three days now and we haven't really found out anything about it yet, but tonight we have found something."
Jason now got a tingle up his spine. He was now wondering if they got him in a photo or something, but he was so scared that he forgot about that in his mind and just stared at the screen.
"This evening the cops went in after one area of the forest next to the park which is believed to be the area of where the people behind this whole thing is. They found two people running away from the scene as the cops came along. They both got away until one of the cops saw another suspect that went in the light of his flashlight. They went into a frantic chase but the cop couldn't find him because the suspect hid somewhere.
Jason was relived that there was no photo or description of him yet but he was still so stressed, his heart was pumping very fast.
"Now I am here with the cop that saw the suspect."
'Oh no!' Thought Jason.
"Would you tell us a description mister what's your name?"
"Mister Julius Franco, and my description is short because I did not see him for a long time. He had blonde hair, he was tall, and he had white skin."
"Okay, that was a short description but at least we have something about the suspect don't we."
"Ya."
"Thanks mister Franco, and we will be talking about this mystery tomorrow and the days coming up. This is Hera Dublius signing out at the Rollercoaster Park."
Then the news changed to a different crisis but he didn't care, he wasn't caught, and well, he was technically on the news. That really cheered him up, but he almost couldn't here what his dad was saying.
"Jason, did you like the news?"
Jason turned and saw his dad looking at him. He almost didn't answer back but he came to his senses.
"Ya, it's good that they finally found someone probably a part in the mystery."
"Yes, it's really good. Now you should be going upstairs to get some sleep."
Jason hugged his mom and dad then went upstairs. He picked up his water cup and got some water from the fridge. Once he was finished gulping the water down he went to the second floor and went to the washroom. He brushed his teeth and then went to his bedroom. He went on to his bed and rested for a tiny bit. Then Jason went to sleep, having pretty good time.Whew, he didn't get caught! If you like the chapter, ease vote and comment!
