As Jason and Michael were racing down the streets, they were getting closer to the robber every second. The biggest reason they were catching up to him was because of the traffic.
A light turned red and the robber stopped and looked behind him. He saw Jason coming up behind him and he got scared. Jason pulled up beside him and Michael pointed the gun at the robber.
"Stop in the name of the law, or I'll shoot."
"I don't think so." Said the robber as he put the person he stole from as a body shield.
Then he turned right, and onto the sidewalk. He sped past the traffic and down the road.
Once the light turned green, Jason and Michael zoomed past the cars, trying to catch up to the robber, but they couldn't find him.
They almost gave up hope but they got a phone call from one of the police.
"Michael Denim?"
"This is him, what's wrong?"
"We have found a blue Ford Flex that just sped past us and we are in pursuit. Does it match what you've been chasing?"
"Yes, it has, where is he going to?"
"The docks."
"Okay, we're coming." Then they turned a corner towards the docks.
They saw the Ford Flex being chased by the police once they arrived at the docks. Jason and his dad pulled out of the street and onto the port, to chase after the robber. Some cops crashed on some equipment and the others still followed.
The rough voice seemed to be aiming for the water. He jumped out at the last second and let the car fly into the ocean. It splashed and sank into the water. The police stopped and got out of their cars and fired at the robber but he jumped onto a boat and started to speed away. The cops shot at the boat and succeeded in hitting the motor and stopping the boat.
There was another problem though, the car sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Michael took off his sweater and dove into the water. He looked around and saw the car and a person hanging out the side of the window. He swam down and grabbed the person. With his last bit of air and strength, he pushed off the bottom of the ocean and swam up towards the surface.
Jason looked down waiting for his father. Then he saw two people burst out of the water. It was his dad! He swam over to the dock and lifted the person onto the dock. He then climbed up onto the port and police and ambulances came over to see if he was okay. Jason came over to his dad and looked at him.
"Nice job dad."
"You too son."
Then they high-fived in the air and hugged. Then the police boat came over with the robber, hand cuffed. They put him on the dock and other police came over and put him in a police car.
"Who was that guy dad?" Asked Jason.
"That guy was a very good robber, he was able to make very good mysteries that I couldn't solve. His name is Nathan Plump."
"Well that was interesting."
"Yes it was."
Then a policeman came up to them.
"Michael, can you tell me how you solved this mystery?"
"Well it wasn't me, it was my son, Jason."
"Uh, okay, can you tell me Jason?"
"Sure, I'd be glad to."Then Jason told about the whole story of how he finished the mystery.
