Kiyl stepped off his transport ship onto the port, a good distance from where the Crystal Division Generals were meeting. Still, it was not far at all from the beach, nor the thousands of tourists lining the entire shore of Caracole Island. It was known, possibly worldwide, for its shores, its beautiful and bountiful sunlight, and most of all, its resort atmosphere. There wasn't a place one could step on the island that wasn't in some way attached to a vacation establishment.

Even the docks, even the military installation hidden among the palm trees, were decorated to have a relaxed atmosphere. The great Serena Tower, topped with a statue of one of His Majesty's most powerful Dragon Slayers who fought valiantly for the defense of this island years ago, was untouched as a tourist spot.

Kiyl didn't care much for any of it. He was alone on his transport. Kristine had some trouble collecting some of the others to bring to Caracole Island and lagged a few minutes behind him as a result. Kiyl would not be delayed. It was against the wishes of Captain August, Captain Axel, and the rest of the Empire.

They were to gather with the rest of the Crystal Division Generals summoned to Caracole Island to ward off the return of Hisui and her rebel friends. They didn't have time to dawdle.

Kristine and the others looked forward to this being a vacation, as if, if the rumors were true that Fairy Tail was on its way, she wouldn't be in for the fight of her life.

Kiyl at least had an incredible advantage. Axel sent him as a voice of command, but also for his proximity to the sea, where his abilities would be at their maximum potential. He was sure he'd be able to drown out the flames of Gajeel Redfox or Nastu Dragneel without much problem, leaving the rest of his fellow Generals to do the cleanup work.

Kiyl followed the coast toward the small outpost that the Crystal Division had set up. Scores of beautiful men and women lounged or danced around it. Some of the Generals were in their beachwear, still, not at all equipped for battle. Unsurprisingly, they were headed by Ruhan, the tall, muscular man who had two women draped over him, their bikinis hardly hiding a thing.

He'd been on the island for some time, even before the rumors about Hisui's return started to circulate in the Empire. The Crystal Division had less to do since STAR's manufacturing had increased and gone smoothly, back in Fiore, so August and Ajeel decided to ship them back home and help with things on the mainland. Ruhan had paused on Caracole for a moment of relaxation and stuck around as such once the rumors got passed around.

Ashy was on her way, too, with a few others, to round out the full strength of the Crystal Division. Most of the strength of the Dragon Division was on hand, too. Only Axel stayed behind in Crocus to tend to one of his many playthings. Kiyl saw less and less of Axel, only running into him in a few meetings, where he often wore the scent of sweat and bodily fluid.

Waves lapped against the shore as beautiful cerulean water glistened in the sunlight. Small bands or musicians filled the coast with their sound. The oceanic breeze pushed and meshed it all around Kiyl, forming a perfect symphony of annoying air. He was able to ignore it regardless.

A scant few soldiers and a General he didn't know spotted Kiyl and made way for him. The partying was denser there than he'd anticipated. There was a small stone path leading back up from their spot into one of the beach-hut villages, likely where the Division had been set up in the months since their arrival.

Ruhan spanked one of the women as he eased toward Kiyl, who couldn't help leering at one of the women as she sank back into the seat, her hair perfectly tumbling down to keep all the delectable parts of her exposed.
