Chapter 1.

-5 years old.-

They were 5 years old. And quite adorable, actually. But then again every 5 year old is adorable, right? They were in kindergarten, same class. They sat next to each other in class. They didn't have any other friends. Just them. They liked the other kids but, they just didn't want to hang out with anyone except each other.

They were a recess one day, when they made their promise.

They were under the playground in their own secret place. They stayed there all recess. They told secrets down there. They held hands down there, they kissed each others cheeks down there. They truly loved each other. They were sitting under the playground and Niall was on Liam's lap, adorable right? When Liam stared at Niall. He zoned out.

"Li! Li-Li!" Niall said. It brought Liam back to reality.

"Yes, Ni?" Liam answered.

"Why were you looking at me like that?" Niall asked.

I was staring at your beauty. Liam thought. He didn't say it. No way. He thought Niall might think he's weird.

"I zoned out." Liam answered.

"No you didn't. You know, you were saying your thoughts out loud, correct?" Niall asked.

"No?" Liam said but it came out more as a question.

"You said you were staring at my beauty." Niall said. Then started giggling afterwards.

"But, its true, I was." Liam said.

"I'm not beautiful, Li. I'm normal. Not a fancy looking person like that Olly Mars kid and his friends, oh, who are they again?" Niall asked.

"Louis, Harry, and Zayn." Liam said.

"Right! I'm not as beautiful as them, though Zayn's the most beautifulest out of them all."

"Yea, right." Liam agreed. Although he was dying inside because he felt Niall wouldn't love him. But, boy, was he wrong.

"Niall?" Liam asked.

"Yea?" Niall asked while looking at Liam.

"You love me, right?" Liam asked.

"Of course! I love you to the moon an back." Niall answered. He would have said infinity and beyond, but, his vocabulary isn't that sophisticated, quite yet.

"Then let's make a promise." Liam said.

"Ok. Whats the promise?" Niall asked.

"Promise that when we're older that we'll get married and start a family." Liam said.

"I promise." Niall answered.

They brought their pinky fingers out and connected them, and it sealed their promise.

Liam and Niall both hoped the promise would be kept. Be neither if them said it to each other.

That was their promise. And they intended to keep it.

In the long run, they did. Boy did they keep it.

They got married ad were expecting a baby. Their life was going to be perfect, but nobody knew it yet.

They were a gay couple. But out of all the gay people I've seen, they had a lot of supporters.

Now, why don't we skip to when they were 8. They had a tough time then. Something 8 year olds shouldn't go through.
