Not Your Fault

After running down the corridor, Eri soon reached the hole she escaped from with Deku and Himiko, as she looked through the massive hole in the wall and into the giant room she saw Mirio and Sir Nighteye fighting effortlessly against Overhaul himself who by the look in his eyes had the intentions to kill the two heroes he was facing. Seeing all of this, Eri couldn't just stand by and let more people get hurt, so she yelled out towards them.

~Eri~

"Please stop!"

Soon after yelling this out, the fight came to a complete halt as Mirio, Sir Nighteye, and Overhaul turned their heads and saw Eri standing in the center of the hole in the wall. By laying eyes upon her, Mirio was the first speak to her.

~Mirio~

"Eri! What are you doing!? You need to run!"

Though hearing his words, Eri sadly chose not to listen to him as she then spoke up.

~Eri~

"No!"

With Eri saying that single word, it left Mirio stun at that very moment. After Eri said this, she leaped out of the hole and back into the room where she continued looking directly at the three who were completely standing still, as she continued speaking to them.

~Eri~

"I'm sorry, I can't run any more. I want all of this to stop, so please stop. I promise to come back and to make more of those bullets, just please don't hurt anyone else."

Eri said this last part as she looked directly over at Overhaul who by hearing this began to speak in a gentle and calm tone which was completely different from when he was blaming her for everything much earlier.

~Overhaul~

"Very well, I promise not to hurt anyone else as long as you come back to me."

~Eri~

"D-do you really promise?"

~Overhaul~

"Yes, I promise. Now come to me."

Overhaul extends out his left arm and opens his hand out towards Eri who by seeing was that first beginning to feel hesitant as her feet couldn't movie single inch forward, by overhaul noticing that she wasn't moving, he began to get upset yet he remained calm as he then spoke to her once again in a gentle tone but this time through in a little threat.

~Overhaul~

"What's the matter Eri? Do you not want me to keep my promise after all?"

By Overhaul saying this, it made Eri tense up while also feeling fear.

~Overhaul~

"If that is so then you must really want me to kill all of these heroes just because you chose to disobeyed me."

Hearing all of that, Eri quickly spoke up and refused these claims that Overhaul was spouting.

~Eri~

"No, I don't want that."

~Overhaul~

"Then come here, now."

Being fueled by fear, Eri began to raise her right foot, yet before she could even take a step forward, Mirio had turned his attention back over towards Overhaul we sprinted at as he then jumped up in the air as he had his left fist while flying right towards Overhaul, yet before he could get any closer, Overhaul who had seen Mirio coming right at him off the corner of his eye, reached out his right hand and touched one of his spikes which by doing so it began to protrude right towards Mirio until eventually it pierces right through the left side of his stomach, which by this happening had made Sir Nighteye yell out to Mirio.

~Sir Nighteye~

"Mirio!"

By hearing Mirio's name echo throughout the room, Eri who had witnessed Mirio being impaled had made her pull her foot back as instead taking a step forward she instead took one back which Overhaul who had turned his attention back over to her had noticed which further enraged him I'm seeing her disobedience.

~Overhaul~

"Eri, why do you continue disobeying me? It is your disobedience that continues to gets people hurt, just like this and boy who thought he could still be a hero even without quirk. Now what is it going to be, are you going to continue to disobey me or are you going to be a good girl and obey?"

At that very moment, Eri had the thoughts of running away once again, yet by looking at what just happened to Mirio, she knew if she did and more people would get hurt, so with no other choice, Eri began to pull her foot forwards to take a step which by Overhaul seeing this, he smirked under his mask from how obedient she has become which was all thanks to fear. Yet suddenly before Eri could take that step forward, she was suddenly grabbed from behind and pulled back which by this happening had made Overhaul widened his eyes out of anger as another hero has now shown up to intervene in his plans. After being pulled back, Eri looked up and saw that it was Deku who had come to get her, yet with the angry expression on his face from what he had just witnessed, he had a whole new motive of being here, though before he acted on that very motive, he began to reassure Eri for everything she had just blamed herself for.

~Deku~

"Eri, none of this is your fault. The only one at fault here is us. On that day you bumped into me, I should have done everything in my power save you but I didn't and instead I let you go, but not this time, this time I'll make sure to save you."

Hearing these very words from Deku, for the first time Eri had felt hope. Though in that very moment, Overhaul who was filled with complete rage, pulled back his offering as he raised it slightly in the air until finally slamming it straight down to the floor which by doing so he uses his quirk to make protruding spikes come straight towards Deku and Eri's direction. As the spikes were getting closer, Deku had quickly moved Eri behind him, as he then extended out his right arm and pulled back his middle finger which with a single flick he shot out a strong force which destroyed every protruding spike coming his way. As the dust from the spikes cleared away, it left Overhaul quite shocked to see such a strong power clear out a complete row of spikes. Deku and Overhaul locked eyes upon each other and knew exactly that this was going to be an intense fight which standing off in the distance Sir Nighteye assumed as well, which meant if they were fighting will give him enough time to see Mirio. Meanwhile back in the corrid, Himiko was continuing making her way to the room to lend her assistance.
