Merida's POV

Ugh I hate this why do I have to wear this dress.

I see that Snoutlet guy staring at me I mean seriously what do I have.

"Merida"Mother said making me groan and stand up straighter.

I mean she doesn't have to tell me every single second.

"Ye told me I can participate"I said while pouting making her sigh.

"Fine but be careful"

I nodded and went down from the platform.

Something I noticed is that the clan's sons or any of my suitors hide behind their parents or representatives.

I wonder why I mean I don't bite....only my arrows.

"Princess Merida here"Young Macintosh said while doing this weird smirk.

I smiled falsely and hurried to the other side.

Gosh to full of himself.

Young MacGuffin went first and again like last time he missed it for a bit making me smirk.

Oh please Young Macintosh don't put a tantrum.

He fling some of his hair towards me and wiggle his eyebrows making me look away.

I looked around and saw a girl with blonde hair.

Finally another girl,I walked towards her.

"Hi"I said and she looked at me and plastered a fake smile.

I could feel my blood boil but still smiled.

"It's nice to have another lassie fightin' in th' contests"I said while glancing at Wee Dingwall.

"Yes let's see if I can win"The girl said.

"Uhm may I know th' name of th' lassie I am talkin' to"I said while she grabbed a bow and arrow.

"Astrid Hofferson"Astrid said and I nodded.

"Uhm may Ah ask who is he"I said while pointing at the brown haired boy who was flexing his muscles and grabbed a bow and arrow.

"You like him princess"Astrid said while smirking and I shook my head.

"His name is Snoutlet"She said while shooting her arrow and hitting bullseye.

I smiled and looked but their was no more.

Which made me frown and than smile.

"It was nice talkin' to a laddie like ye"I said before shooting her an arrow in the middle of hers.

I went to Snoutlets and shoot another arrow,bullseye and I did the same to the other three.

Tsk tsk we need more targets.

"Ah *laughs*Good show my wee darlin'"Father said while laughing and clapping.

I smiled and glanced at Mom who look a bit worried.

"GAAAAAAH"Maudie said while running towards us making my eyes widen.

I ran the same direction she came from making people gasp.

I mean it can't be that dangerous.

*Neigh*

"Angus"I said and backed away since he was jumping.

Not that dangerous....I think

What did he see?

"ANGUS"I shouted putting my hands up trying to calm him down.

He kicked my leg making yelp and bring myself to my knees.

He finally calmed down after I tried standing up.

"It is ok"I whispered.

Ugh damn my leg.

Angus went back while I tried walking back but falling to my knees.

"Princess Merida"

I looked up to see all the princes and Snoutlet running towards me.

Oh great people that think I am weak.

I stood up and tried walking normally but I kept on limping.

"Please bring the doctor"Young Macintosh said while Young MacGuffin grabbed me bridal style.

"Nae wait please"I said while squirming out of his grip and fallowing to the ground.

"Are you sure your ok?"Snoutlet said and I have a feeling this is not them.

I nodded and pulled myself up.

"Are ye sure mah darlin' we could get a doctor"Father said and I nodded while whistling.

Angus came back and I hoped on him careful not to hit my leg.

Ok this is going to be diffucult.

I kicked Angus sending him into the forest.

"Ah Angus why would ya kick me"I said while sliding off and grabbing a leaf.

I lifted my skirt to show a scrape.

Angus hit my arm softly and I petted him.

"Do nae worry"I said while tearing a bit of the dress and tying the leafs to the scrape.

"Princess Merida"

I turned around and saw a scrawny boy in other words the Chiefs son Himuck uhm I don't think so.

"Uh here"I said while rubbing the leaves making it a bit painful.

"Oh here don't hurt your dress"He said while passing me this weird thing.

He sighed and grabbed it back while throwing it to the scrape.

I yelped making him back away,I took out my bows and arrows showing him the arrow.

"Sorry sorry"He said while lifting his hands up.

Ahahaha he  is so easy to scare,for a viking.

"Whit is yer name"

"Are ye one of those vikings"

"Oh yes why?"

"Ye do nae look like one"

He frowned making me laugh.

"Do nae worry ye must be special to look different"I said while hopping on Angus and offering him my hand.

"Uh thanks"He replied happily.

I smiled at him and patted Angus signaling him to go back.
