The Games go to the woods

Astrid's POV

My blood boiled as I saw the arrow with not one single burn and dry.

This cannot be happening.

I wanted to scream and curse but stayed calm knowing that I would make a fool of myself.

Ugh I knew that he was having affairs with her.

Everyone cheered and clapped while Hiccup smiled and went back to his place.

The dirt had taken off because of the heat.

Of course he would know he's the blacksmith assitance.

Queen Elinor and the rest of the Dunbroch got up too,also Alec.

His name is fits him perfectly,I smiled a little.

Just that he always hangs out with Merida.

WHY?! >.<

Why does everyone notice Merida but not me.

I mean what does she have that everyone one's interested in.

The Suitors bowed while Queen Elinor passed with the rest of the royal family.

So did the crowd,although I didn't want to bow down to Merida I still did.

Servants came to the family and started giving them their horses.

Except for Merida and Alec,huh where are they going?

Everyone started leaving except for Hiccup and me.

Merida smiled and started coming towards me and Hiccup.

Guilt started eating me.

"Hey Hiccup"I said while looking at him.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry"

He looked at me weirdly making me sigh.

"I'm sorry for blaming you and telling you things you never did"

He smiled and shook my hand making me smile back.

"Hi Astrid this is Alec,Alec Astrid"Merida said while smiling to each other.

"You look prettier close up"He said making both of us blush.

"Ok to soon but I will leave ya alone"Merida said while walking away.

Hiccup smiled and left with Merida.

"Hi,uh uhm where are you from?"I asked.

"From Scotland"

"Really?"

"Yeah why don't you believe me?"

"Because uhm mostly they have a Scottish accent"

"But the ladies like me with out a Scottish accent"He said jokingly.

I bet they do.

I smiled and he smiled back.

What now?

"Uh you want to go into the forest?"He asked and I looked at him.

"You sure we won't get lost?"

He shrugged and I laughed.

"Ok then"I said and he smiled.

Merida's POV

I watched as they went away making me smile.

I'm not a big fan of love but once in a while I like to see it in action.

Except when it's about my parents.

They get too deep,well almost all parents and it's just weird watching your parents and how they get mushy and ...

*Shivers*

"Are you okay?"Hiccup said making me turn around.

"Yis why would I not be?"

"You shivered"He said while raising an eyebrow.

"Uh it was nothin'"

He nodded but still watched me carefully.

We started walking back to the castle,he to his blacksmith room and me to my own room.

I closed the door behind me and slid on the door.

What is this feeling?

I rubbed my temples and looked out the window seeing Hiccup and Toothless.

Why do you make me feel this way?

~~~Time Skip to Four Days Later~~~

Hiccup's POV

This is harder then I thought.

The games little by little they start getting harder,Merida can hardly even speak to me or the people think I cheat.

My crush for her grows and grows and so does the competition.

I mean most of this guys are stronger and when it comes to strength I come last.

But when it's challenges or riddles I sometimes win.

Don't know how many points I have but I keep trying harder.

Not for me but for Merida.

This is the only reason why I'm actually doing this,for Merida.

I don't think I'lI will be able to win though.

I mean yesterday we had to throw a log over a pole but mine barely made it through.

MacGruffin threw it about 5 acres,some of the servants had to go and fetch the log.

The same for Snoutlet.

But not Young Macintosh or Wee Dingwall.

The Dunbroch soon came and the whole crowd went silent.

"Th' next game is 'at you have to escort Princess Merida into th' woods an' show 'at ye can tak' care of 'er for an entire day without 'er doin' anythin'"

This should be easy.
