The Fourth Suitor

A day before the wedding

Hiccup's POV

I smiled when I woke and stretched a bit.

Today I have plans for Merida and me,well hopefully she would feel better like she said.

Where is she?

Red curls bounced up and down near the doorway making me smile and go to the bathroom.

I took a shower and quickly dried myself although my hair was still a bit wet and dressed myself.

"Merida where were you?"I asked while seeing her sitting down in the bed,fully dressed and ready.

"I was talkin' to Maudie"

"Are you sure your up to spending the day with me?"

"Are ye kiddin'?"She said while crossing her arms angrily.

"I'm just saying,we can go on Toothless just in case"

"I am perfectly fine Hicc...but"

"But what I can wait until tommorrow well the day after tomorrow."

"Hicc try to listen to me"Merida said while getting up and walking towards the door.

"Okay Okay I'm sorry"I said while grabbing her and turning her around.

She looked at me closely and then smiled.

"I just want one small ride with Toothless"She said while holding my hand.

I smiled and put my hand on her cheek.

"One small ride"I said while smiling mischievously making her pout.

"Ye know what I mean Hicc"

"Uhm I don't think so"I said while putting a finger in my lip making her smirk a little.

"Where did yer bravery come from?"

"If you've been through what I have been then you will know"

Her face fell and her hand went to my cheek making it comforting.

"I'm sorry I didn't ask how ye felt after yer father died, I would probably have broken to pieces"

"But hopefully I will be there to comfort you"

"Just like I would be there for you"

She rubbed her thumb in my cheek and gave me a slow kiss.

I smiled at her making her blush and look down.

"Do you want to call him?"I said lifting her face with my finger.

"I don't know how to"

"Hear the whistle I'm going to do"

She nodded and I whistled slowly and Toothless flew up.

He tried getting in but his wing was the only thing that fit.

Merida started laughing/snorting making me smile all over again.

I pushed Toothless's wing out and grabbed Merida by the waist and jumped.

We landed safely in Toothless's back and I took a quick glance at Merida who looked more than surprised.

"What?"I asked while signaling Toothless to fly.

"I thought we weren't goin' to fit"

"Hey I'm pretty skinny"

"An scrawny"

"Hey"

"But ye somehow managed to get muscles"She teasingly while playing with my hair.

I felt myself blush but didn't look at her making her giggle.

"You also changed"

"Did not"

"Did too,your hair is longer and a bit more tamed and you look more beautiful an-"

"I think I get"Merida said while blushing red.

"Nah,you're shorter know"

I got whacked in the back of my head making me chuckle.

"An' yer less cheesy"

"Says who"

"Meh 'at is who"

"Of course Rida my sweet dripping honey"

"Sweet drippin' honey?"

"Yeah Rida,your my honey and I'm the bear you've attracted"

I could feel her hands shaking making me chuckle at her.

Toothless landed on the same spot that we had stayed ten years ago.

"WHY!! ALEC DO YOU EVEN CARE?!"Astrid yelled from the distance making me wince as I helped Merida down.

"Look if we want to be able to get food I have to do this"

"Okay let's just ignore them"I mumbled to Rida making her laugh but nod.

We walked around and she looked happy making me extra happy.

After thirty minutes of showing her around,taking her to different people of Berk, we hopped on Toothless and flew off making me nervous.

I know I don't have to do what I'm about to do but this is important to every human being.

My heart thumped faster as Toothless landed on the second spot of land,the same place where I took Merida for the forest round.

It has stayed the same expcept for the grass that grew a bit longer.

Her eyes sparkle in happiness,she looks around with happiness and slowly jumps off from Toothless leaving a bit of coldness around my waist where her hands just were.

I slowly join her,fear cripping up little by little.

Merida slowly twirl around and when she stopped I grabbed her hand and spinned her.

"A princess should not dance by herself"I said while putting my hand on her hand and begin waltzing with her following my moves.

When we stopped dancing I pulled her to the forest making her confuse.

There was small lamps that led the way the left side was blue while the right is green.

I stopped at a certain tree and took the paper and gave it to her making her blush.

"When did ye drew this?"

"When we where in the river"I said offering my hand which she took making me smile.

Another paper was hanging from the tree making her let go and grab it.

"I know I don't have to do this but at least roll with it as if I wasn't the champion"

She laughed and nodded while I took a small ring from my pocket.

We stopped at a clearing and I smiled at how Astrid designed everything.

I'll have to thank her later

"It has a green emerald because it reminds me of your passion of the forest and because you look good in green"I said while bowing a little and showing her the ring.

Seriously because you look good in green?

I mentally face palmed but she grinned and whispered something.

"Huh?"I said confused,taking a quick glance at her and she was red and looked like she didn't want to repeat herself.

"Yie ye big-"

I kissed her cutting her off and slipping the ring on her finger.

"Now we only have to wait for th' weddin' tomorrow"Merida whispered and I smiled.

"I guess so and I can't wait to be with you forever"
