Asher's POV
.... I can't find her...I can't find her.
The school is in ruins now. The quake destroyed its proud standing walls. Everything is crumbled into broken stone......
And I think she is too.
She can't be.
I have to find her.
I HAVE to.
I just have to keep digging...keep pulling, keep searching. I will find her. I have to.
My Ravyn.
*Flashback to after Ravyn and Ashher kiss*
"Asher! What's happening?!?"
"I don't know, come on!"
Asher grabs Ravyn's wrist and pulls her towards the exit of the building until she stops.
"Wait! My claws are in my locker!"
"Ravyn, NO!"
The whole school is crumbling to the ground and they have to dodge pieces of stone falling from the above floors....Ravyn disappears into the halls and seconds feel like hours.
"Ravyn!" Asher's calls desperately. Then a large stone boulder crashes in front of him and causes him to jump back but then...
"ASHER!!"
"RAVYN!!"
"THE BOULDER'S BLOCKING THE HALL!"
Ravyn is desperately banging and punching the boulder but of course to no avail. The exit is becoming non existent and they're running out of time.
"Hold on Ravyn!" Asher fires up his hands but then realizes there is no use in trying to burn the stone. His fire isn't hot enough to melt stone.
His magick isn't strong enough....
....he's not strong enough
Then suddenly, Asher vis pulled out of the building and the last thing he hears is Ravyn's voice before the demise of Celestial High.
"ASHER!!!!!"
*Amethyst's POV*
"......... wh-what was that......" I take out my headphones, starring in awe at what I'd just experienced. Everyone in the street is getting up off the ground and Lolita is pointing towards the sky..... I look up... and I nearly throw up my entire stomach... cupping my face in fear, all I hear are screams and sirens... someone has breached our atmosphere barrier.
Back to the school...
*Ravyn's POV*
"Fuck... maaaaan DAMN." So not only am I gonna have to find a way out of here, but I also broke my claws... grrrrr.... I start to massage my temples and start looking for a way out of here. Then I notice my energy is off, I look closer to my claws and notice it's my gem... it's... glowing? That's strange... it's never been this color before, maroon and pink, and it's warm... I take my gem out of my dismantled weapon and tied it up in some residue from the quake to wear as a bracelet.
"This will just have to work for now." I grab my claws and stuff them in my bag and start walking the halls. I feel so uneasy... I know there's got to be way out of here. I run into about 3 boulders in the halls thinking out how to escape. Ice Iris okay, let's listen for a way out. I can see Asher on the other side of this boulder, but it's impossible to contact him through this thick rock. "Hmmmm, OH! snaps" I take off running through the halls hoping to not run into another boulder, there's a Druid enchanted emergency exit at the the heart of the school.. I just have to find the door. I run until I reach the old creaky wooden door plastered with scratches and stains. Remember, Ravy... calm, centered, breathe... where do you want to go....
I inhale, exhale... then I open the door and step through.
*Asher's POV*
"Damn, Damn, Damn, Amethyst won't let me live this one down..." I'm still searching frantically throwing over rocks looking for Ravy.
"Asher."
I snap my head up to see Ravyn standing in front of me... "Wh-wh.." I drop the rock I had in my hand and stand to my feet slowly walking towards her.
"Ravyn, h-how did you get.. how did you get out? All the exits..."
"There's always the Druid Door Asher..." She cuts me off.
"YOU USED THE DRUID DOOR?" I exclaimed.
"Yeah..." She steps back at my exclamation, "it's just a door, anybody can open it. I remembered that it was a gift from the Druids to Milky Way, 'an ever standing door that will always guide you to where you're meant to be.' I just thought of where I needed to be. It wasn't hard..."
"B-but Ravyn... the Druid door can only be used by... are you part Druid??" Does she not know that only fully advanced mages and druids can open that door?
"Well... yeah."
And I continue to be amazed. Just then Amethyst ran up from the street with Lolita following behind, that's weird she took Ravyn's car.
"WHERE'S RAVYN?" She grabs me shaking my shoulders. She's frantic... Amethyst is NEVER frantic.
*Ravyn's POV*
"I'm right here Am..." I say awkwardly.. she literally ran right past me. Then I'm enveloped in her gut squeezing embrace and I feel her tears streaming down her face. "What is it Am?" I embrace her back and she looks me in my eyes. Then, she gives me a funny look.
"What? Something on my face?" I begin touching my face frantically.
"Your eyes." She said blankly.
"What about my eyes?? Give me a mirror!" She pulls out a compact mirror from her jacket pocket and I open and immediately recognize what she's gawking at. My iris have changed color completely.
"Wh-wh-wha-what's going on here... wha-what happened to me back there?" My eyes were the same color as the glow my gem had earlier. Asher and Amethyst come to my aid to calm me down.
"Just relax... uh there's, probably a good reason why your eyes are... uh pink." Asher said stroking my hair trying to calm my nerves.
"They're kind of red." Am adds. I shoot a glare at her and she immediately holds up an X with her fingers.
"Hey! If looks could kill." Hehe
I smile and laugh with my sister for a moment but then we immediately snap back into reality. The atmosphere is quiet for a moment.
"The atmosphere barrier.... it's broken." She says
My mouth drops open...
And so does Asher's.....
we're both speechless and Am continues...
"The entire planet quaked and something broke through our atmosphere barrier... our world is in danger, I can feel it."
Asher and I look at each other then Amethyst.
"I think we need to go home... Asher you're coming with us." I say as Am and I take off running towards home and Asher quickly follows.
"Guys, is this about Obi?" Asher asked.
"Well, we'll see when we get home." I replied.
