Crushing Felix

Chapter 2: SleepOver

After Class on Friday:

Kelsey searches online on her laptop, for apartments to make sure Felix can't just come in the house to bother her. She books an apartment that has very little room left. Knowing that it's almost time for her to leave, she pushes herself a bit to take her time before she leaves. Kelsey goes to the bathroom and changes into a hot pink crop top and light blue denim jeans, forgetting about what Lily told her to wear. 

With a white Honda, she still decides to walk to his house. After all, she does know that she might stay a while doing the project so she gets some food from the pantry and puts it in her big black, leather purse. She walks outside to the front yard and starts running to his home, while getting out the address. Carrying the purse with the other hand, she approaches the house in no time!

She walks to the front door and knocks on it 5 times. The door opens and a strong 47-year old looking woman opens the door with a smiling face at 7:16 pm. Wow. It must be Felix's mom. His mom is wearing a brown cotton, long sleeve shirt and black jeans with white sandals. Kelsey puts on a smile and goes with the flow. No father at all in this home. Probably a separation between them two.

"Hi. I'm here for Felix? We're doing a project together. Sorry if he didn't tell you yet...."

"Oh sweetheart! He didn't tell me. One second. Let me call him...... FELIX!!!!"

Felix's voice gets louder when he comes running downstairs looking at the front door where Kelsey is and once he looks at her, he keeps a straight face in front of his mom. He walks next to his mom and waves a hand at Kelsey and stares at her with a serious but a grinning face. "What?! Oh..Hi....."

His mother starts to talk and introduce herself to Kelsey. "Sweetheart, I'm Felix's mother as you know and I am divorced.... Unfortunately, but anyway, come in! Felix told me so little about you!" *looks at Felix with a sarcastic face and smiles back at Kelsey*

"Mom, stop it. You're embarrassing me..." *blushes with a red face* Felix stares at Kelsey and looks back at his mom.

"Why son? Do you have a problem with me? Ok. I'll leave you two alone alright? I won't even check up on you."

Kelsey looks at Felix and rolls her eyes at him, like they're enemies. She finds him staring at her and snaps her fingers in his face."Hello?! Didn't you say we were going to work on the stinking project?"

Felix blinks with a yawn and tears fall from his eyes. He wipes them quickly and holds onto Kelsey's arm, pulling her until they reach his gigantic room upstairs in the home. Once they're in the room, he locks the door suspiciously and smiles at Kelsey when she notices that he locked it.

"Are you insane?! Why did you just lock that door?!! Now we can't get out!! You're a freak!" Kelsey puts her purse down and gets out a pencil with a few blank pages from her notebook. They start the project.

At 10:00 pm:

"Can we stop?! I'm getting so tired of this homework! Why do we have to work so hard only for one day?"

"No... This project is a long project and we have to get working on it. We only have a few weeks."

"Whatever. I'm done."

"Ok....but we're locked in. Oops!" He grins at Kelsey and gets out his phone. He looks for apartments to book and buy. "Anyway, I'm moving out in a few days so good luck with finding me for any project." He winks at her and she makes an annoyed, angry face, rolling her eyes toward the wall next to her.

"I can't get out of your room!! Let me get out!!"

"Why don't you sleep over? Don't worry. It's not a sleepover. I'm gonna change my clothes in the bathroom so just hang on there for a bit."

Kelsey fills with disgust. "I didn't bring my pajamas cuz you didn't tell me you were going to lock the room!!!!"

"It's fine! I have a full sized bed! Your lucky you don't have to sleep on the floor!!"

"Whatever.... You're a jerk. You knew I had to sleep in the bed tonight cuz you made me work so hard for the project and now that I'm tired and we're locked in, I can't get out. You did this on purpose!!! You jerk!!!

"Ok. I can live with it!" Felix slams the bathroom door and in a few minutes later, he comes out with his pajamas on. Wearing a blue
shirt and gray sweatpants, he carries his other clothes in his right hand and throws it to one corner of his room. "You got a problem with that?"

Kelsey screams on the top of her lungs. "Yes! I HAVE a PROBLEM with THAT!" She lowers her voice and whispers. "Is your mom asleep?"

"Yes, my little doll. Yes, she is."

"I'm not your little doll, you freak!!" Kelsey puts everything in her purse and zips it up around the purse to secure it from Felix. She puts it next to the door and takes off her shoes, while Felix gets in the bed. "I don't know what you're up to but you better not do anything to me. Don't even touch me! Got it!!!??! Good!"

Felix looks at her and decides to make Kelsey stop talking. "Shush!!! My mom is in bed!! She will wake up and it'll be all your fault. Now, why don't you have a little rest before the day is over?!"

"Not in your bed."

"You don't have a choice. It's either the bed or the floor and I don't think you'll be excited about sleeping on a carpet."

"Ugh! Fine! How annoying can you be?!"

Kelsey climbs in the bed and rests her back silently. Taking deep breaths and closing her eyes each time, she quickly looks at Felix from the side of where she is resting. Felix is sound asleep and Kelsey exhales deeply. Feeling comfortable in his warm, soothing mattress, she moves to the side. She moves closer to Felix without him knowing and falls asleep.

At 5:00 a.m/(Saturday):

  Kelsey wakes up with a dry mouth and looks around herself. Her heart has a tension of heat and flames often in her lungs. The window next to the bed is open but the sky is still dark so it must mean that it's early in the morning and that she has supposedly cuddled in Felix's arms. Her right leg is on top of him under the fluffy blanket over them. She silently gets off the bed without Felix awaking and sees the bedroom door open. Kelsey realizes that Felix's mother must have opened it when she woke up in the middle of the night. 

  She quietly picks up her purse and goes to Felix's bathroom. She tip toes barefoot inside and locks the door. She takes out her brush and styles her hair into a braid to the side of her left shoulder. Putting the brush away, she unlocks the door and silently walks outside the house from his room, knowing that Felix's mother slept again after she had opened his door. Kelsey wondered what his mother must have thought when she saw both of them together in a bed. As her head aches, she runs home in a few minutes looking back at Felix's house...
