Crushing Felix

Chapter 1: An Opinion

Monday:

"Hey Kelsey!! Aren't you excited?!", Lily said to Kelsey super excited. Kelsey quickly glanced at Felix and looked back at Lily grinning.

"Don't you see that guy?" Kelsey practically ignored all of what Lily just said.

"Yeah.... About that..." She made a face that nobody could've made at this time. A face with hatred.

"Lily? Do you like him?" Kelsey said as she giggled a bit.

"No! Are you kidding? He may be good looking and popular, but you KNOW I already like Jake. I think YOU like him!!"

"He is kinda cute...." Kelsey watched Felix as he was giving out a laugh.

"Silly girl..." Lily giggled and joined in on the 'Felix Watching'.

The bell rang a few seconds after Kelsey was getting her eyes focused, and her brain thinking about getting to class. Kelsey and Lily walked to class together. As they walked into the class, Kelsey looked, noticed that Lily's lips made a flattering smile, because she spotted Jake looking for a seat. Kelsey spotted Felix sitting and chatting with some other people, which were probably his friends.As the class was getting just loud enough, Mr. Roman, the English teacher, shouted with his extremely bold voice saying, "Please take your very temporary seats!"

The class stayed still and Kelsey's heart pounded on the edge of her chest.

Mr. Roman said, "I will be assigning seats so don't get too excited!!"

Kelsey took a deep breath and a big sigh before he started giving seats. She looked behind the class, since she was in the front, to get Felix's attention and he looked at her with a confused, rude face, making her feel light headed.

Mr. Roman quietly spoke, "Okay..... Vara, you sit with Robert. Justin, you sit with Tom. Sally, you sit with Kyle. Frank, you sit with Donnie. Kelsey, you sit with Felix. Zonny, you sit with Daniel. Lily, you sit with Sammy. Jack, you sit with Stanly. Jake...please sit with Elizabeth. Brandon, you will sit next to Ty. Tania, you sit with Cris. Roman, you have to sit next to Norie. David, you need to sit with Kristina. Done.... Now, please go to your assigned seats.

Kelsey slowly walked to the shared desk and sat down, taking her backpack off her back. She picked up her red history and yellow math book along with a pencil, ready to start writing notes. Felix stared at Kelsey's books and didn't give eye contact.

"Hi. I'm Kelsey... I think your name is Felix.."

Felix didn't give an answer.

"Hi?" Kelsey asked in a sarcastic sort-of way. She wanted respect.

"Hi..." He turned his head to check out other tables.

Mr. Roman raised his voice,"Class, today, you and your partner are going to have to work on a project together. Don't worry.. It is just a poster that is going to be about you and your partner. The poster must have one section about you, and one section about your partner. Yes... this might seem like a middle school project, but this is only the first one. There will be a rubric passed out. You have the rest of class to figure out how you will finish this project. It is due next Monday.

After the class eventually finished, the bell rang and the whole class ran out, into and past the hallways. Kelsey found Lily and they both found a place to sit and eat a snack. Kelsey let out a sigh. "Hey, um..Lily?

"Yah?" Lily said softly.

"I have to work on the project with Felix.. He's so rude to me. He ignored me when I said 'hi', he was NOT helping me with the project, and all he told me was that he's gonna do the left side of the poster!! Can you believe it?!"
