Chapter 54: What It Sounds Like

Asta, Yuno, and Liebe were stunned by what Jisoo uttered, and they quickly understood who that woman was who bears a resemblance to her.

It was her mother, Park Kyungmi.

Park Kyungmi bears a strong facial resemblance to Jisoo. Her sharp yet elegant eyes, soft eyebrows, her round yet heart-shaped face, full pink lips, and the small black mole under her left eye. The difference between them was Kyungmi's hairstyle, hair color, and eyes.

Kyungmi is very fair-skinned, has long, wavy black hair parted to her left side and the rest behind her right ear, and she has gray colored eyes. She was tall, a little taller than Jisoo, and possessed a slim figure. She looked around her early thirties as she wore casual Modern-day clothes, an oversized light blue buttoned shirt tucked into her blue denim jeans with her sleeves rolled over her elbows, and wearing white shoes.

She was abundantly beautiful, as beautiful as the spring under the night. 

Lucius laughs evilly, knowing this was her weakness; her own mother.

"Suho, get me up there. I'm going to abandon my pacifist values and give him a bloody beating." Penelope said with pure intention to kill Lucius. Suho and Hero Trio agreed on beating up Lucius since what he did was too far. After all, that was Jisoo's mother, one of the most important people in Jisoo's life and someone she deeply loved. 

Yessi and Venom were about to summon the Symbiotes and Spider Guardians until they noticed Seraphina's calm expression.

They eyed her, wondering how she could stay calm in a time like this.

She did lose her temper and almost burned her kind after finding out they betrayed Ashborn.

Something was up.

"Jisoo..." Kyungmi spoke up, making Jisoo react to the sound of her voice.

She slowly raised her arms and stopped at the level of her shoulders. "Give me a hug, My Princess!" She smiles brightly and affectionately at her.

Jisoo soon starts running toward her, jumps, and hugs her tightly. Kyungmi wraps her arms around Jisoo and returns the hug.

"Umma." She whispers, making Kyungmi laugh softly. "Look at you, you've grown so big and very pretty. I guess Ashborn's genes did win some of half, but either way, you look so beautiful, my princess. I'm so happy to hold you in my arms again." Kyungmi caresses Jisoo's face, smiling at her with such heartwarming joy.

Jisoo smiles back at her, almost teared up by seeing her mom again after so long.

"What's happening? Why aren't you attacking her?! Why?!" Lucius screams in frustration, making the mother and daughter turn to him, much to their disbelief and annoyance.

"Why? Seriously? You're dumb, that's why." Kyungmi turns to him after letting go of Jisoo. She looks at him with an unimpressed look and her arms crossed as Lucius was furious at her answer.

"What did you say?" He utters dangerously as Kyungmi waves her hand.

"You seriously thought summoning me from the Promised Land, where no mediums or shaman could summon, to use me as a weapon to torment my daughter. That's why I said you're dumb. I come here of my own will. Ah, I pity these people for dealing with an idiot like you." Kyungmi sass him, enough that everyone was stunned by her words.
