In the End, I Lost It All

Prologue

3rd Person P.O.V.

Jake Pitts and Ella Cole were married for 10 years, and couldn't have been any happier. They have 10 amazing children together. After they have been through many obstacles together, Jake's whole world comes crumbling down on him due to the news Ella says to him...

"Jake," Ella calls out. Jake looks up from his spot in their bed and looks up at Ella. "Jake, I need to speak to you about something serious..." He sets down his guitar and replies, "Of course, Ell. What's up?" She sighs gently and responds, "Jake, I've been thinking about us for the past few weeks, and I just don't love you anymore, the way I used to." Jake looks up dumbfounded at what he hears. "Ella, what are you saying?" he pleads with her, "Baby, please don't do this to me, to our kids. They need you as much as I do..." He starts crying hysterically trying to reason with her.

(Time Lapse- 1 year later)

Jake and Ella walk into the courtroom and tell their own stories about their marriage. Ella describes it as being dull and boring, that she never gets any attention from him due to being around the world and playing music. Jake, however, describes his relationship with Ella as being perfect; a fairytale love story. How they met when she was a young, aspiring model and he was a barely known musician overseas playing his music with his band. As they wait the decision from the judge, Jake looks over at his supportive bandmates who give him sad looks. After about 30 minutes of waiting the judge reappears. Both Jake and Ella look up at the judge, waiting for the decree as to whether or their marriage is done.

The judge clears his throat and makes his verdict, "First of all, I want to thank you all for being here today. I shall now read the verdict. The marriage of Jake Pitts and Ella Cole-Pitts is officially over. Thank you all, this case is closed." Jake looks up completely flustered, not comprehending that his marriage is now over. His bandmates all rush over to their broken and sad brother, hugging him and telling him that everything will be alright. But he knows for a fact that it is not going to be okay for a long time.
