In The End, I Lost It All
~~~Chapter 3~~~
(Jake's POV)
I walk into the Starbucks after having the guys bombarding me, asking me to get some coffee for them and handing me their drink orders; I roll my eyes and head over there, walking the couple blocks getting in my cardio. I head towards the line when I feel someone bump into me. Her iced coffee goes all over my shirt and she repeatedly apologizes. I smile and tell her it's alright, that I will change clothes later.
She responds with an "absolutely not" and brings me over to her apartment a few minutes away to clean up and change clothes. I notice that there is men's clothing in her apartment. I want to ask her about it, but I don't want to make a big scene about it. "I never got your name..." I look at the blonde haired beauty in front of me with her back facing my direction. She turns around, showing off her beautiful baby blue eyes and blonde hair with pink and green highlights. "My name is Avril, Avril Lavigne. I'm sure you've heard of me before," she replies. I think for a few minutes and remember she is a Canadian punk rock singer. "Yes I do know of you, and can say I think you're music is pretty awesome." She smiles gratefully at me and hands me a leather jacket and a v neck tee shirt. "I hope these will fit you, they were my ex's but he never cared to pick them up... I hope they will work for now, um..." She looks at me and I say, "Oh I apologize, my name is Jake." She smiles and repeats her last sentence, "I hope they will work for now, Jake." I nod my head saying, "Thank you, these will work just fine. I wear leather jackets all the time."
She sighs, and I sit down next to her, laying my hand on hers and ask why she's so sad. She tells me her whole story about being in 2 marriages and getting divorced both times, having Lyme disease and not being able to get out of bed for a few weeks. I hold her hand gently and tell her that everything will be ok. I tell her my story about my ex-wife leaving me after being together 10 years and having 10 children. She asks me about them and I smile telling her that my oldest son is a married man to my bandmate's daughter, and the other 9 still live with me at my house.
We continue talking and then I realize that I forgot about my bandmates and ask Avril if she would like to meet them. She nods her head, smiling happily. We head back towards the studio where we are working on our newest record, BVB IV. I open the door for her and she walks in with me right behind her. I notice Tam runs up to her, hugging her tight. I ask, "Tam, you know Avril?" She smiles, nodding her head, stating; "I've known Avril for years... she's been friends with my brother and his band members for years as well; since we're all Canadian and everything." I smile knowing that she has some friends to talk to. I head into the studio where all the guys are waiting, handing them their coffee. They all smile and ask what took so long; I tell them I ran into a pretty girl who is out in the lobby with the girls and they ask me to bring her back so they can meet her. I head back out to the lobby and ask to steal Avril away for a few minutes. I bring her inside the recording room so she can meet the band members, and they all take an instant liking to her, saying she fits right in with all of us. I mentally take a sigh of relief; glad they welcomed her in with open arms and didn't cast her aside. She looks back over at me, smiling and I smile back. I'd sure like to see her more often, I hope it will happen.
(Avril's POV)
After running into the handsome stranger, and bringing him back to my apartment so he can change his clothes, and talk for a little a bit about our non-existent love lives, we head back to the recording studio where his band members are waiting for him. I meet his band members as well reunite with one of my best friends Tam and meet her other friends Juliet, Mae, and Lana. It's so nice to see her again, and meet some new people. I look forward to hanging out with them more.
