In The End; I Lost It All
Chapter 13 Part 2- Wedding Reception & Airplane Flight for Italy
(Avril's POV)
After our beautiful wedding ceremony, we head to our reception area for the party. But before we head there, Jake and I take a few minutes to spend quality time together in the limo provided to us by a friend as a gift. Jake pulls me close and helps to take off my veil, tossing it gently on the ground and begins kissing my neck as he removes my necklace. We share a truly passionate kiss, not even giving ourselves a chance to breathe; finally making it to the restaurant as the driver lets us know we've arrived.
Jake gets out and makes his way over to my side of the car, opening the door and holding out his hand for me to grab lie and olden-day gentleman. I grab his hand and get out slowly; he holds out his arm and I link my arm through his. We walk into the restaurant, hand in hand and hear the announcer welcome us in. When we enter into the main hall, we make our grand entrance as our friends create a bridge for us to go under; we go under their bridge and come out on the other side, heading over to our table.
They follow after and sit down on either side of us (the girls on my left and the boys on Jake's right). The boys all stand up and give a group speech to Jake, saying how grateful they are to have such a talented brother and friend and ask for me to take care of him. I of course nod my head in agreement, and lay my head on his shoulder wrapping my arm around his.
He smiles and pulls me close, kissing my head softly. All of the kids are sitting at a nearby table, happy for the two of us; listening to their uncles and aunts congratulate us on our marriage. Then Tam and the other BVB girls stand up and give their speech to me, of how great of a friend I am and letting Jake know they will not be scared to cut off his manly parts if he ever hurts me. He nods his head in understanding, and swears to never leave me my side.
Soon, the food arrives and we all chow down on the deliciousness of it all. I slowly look over at my sweet husband who is chowing down and enjoying the food. I slowly eat my food, savoring the taste of it. After the food has been eaten, the cake is brought out; Jake grabs my hand and we stand up heading over to it. He hands me the knife handle-first, and I slowly begin cutting the cake, his hand on top of mine. I cut the cake into a small piece and feed it to him by a fork. He slowly bites the piece of cake off and does the same for me, cutting a piece of cake, and feeding it to me. Once everyone has finished eating their dinner and dessert, it's time for Jake and I to have our first dance as husband and wife. He pulls me out on the dance floor and brings me closer to him so we're chest to chest. CC (who not only is a groomsman, but is also the DJ for the night) turns on a slow song by Aerosmith.
Aerosmith-Don't Wanna Miss a Thing (lyrics credited to owner)
I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Well, every moment spent with you
Is a moment I treasure?
I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
