My eyes widen slightly when I hear the news of Aleah's supposed fever... I stand up and off of Gerard's lap, grabbing a pair of boots and my jacket before waiting for Gerard to do the same.

"Hey, hey, hey. I'm sure everything's gonna' be just alright." He says, noticing my worry.

"I-I'm just worried... that's all."

"And you have every right to be. So c'mon, let's go to Christy's place and check up on our baby girl." He grabs my hands and looks into my eyes, reassuring his statement before we walk out of the hotel room together.

"Christy!" Gerard knocks on the hotel door a few times before she opens it.

"Aleah's sleeping." She lets us in and almost immediately I notice Aleah sleeping in the single bed, only in her shirt and diaper.

I walk over to Aleah and kneel down beside her, watching her small stomach gradually rise up and down.

"So how high was the fever?" I look over at Christy before tucking a small piece of hair behind Aleah's ear.

"About 102-103... pretty high for a toddler it seems." I bite down on my lip as Gerard sits down on the floor next to me.

"What're we gonna' do?" I keep my eyes focused on Aleah as I feel Gerard pull my body towards his.

"All we can do is watch after her. It shouldn't be too serious since it just seems like a fever."

"I-I know... I'm just worried about her."

"And you have every right to be." He pulls me a tad bit closer, gently rubbing the small of my back.

"Just... with your tour starting tomorrow and Aleah being sick all of a sudden... I just don't want it to ruin your time."

"Hey, hey, hey. Don't worry about me. Let's focus on Leah. Health over vacation."

"Alright, alright. Just make sure you go to your concert. I don't want to disappoint your fans." I lean up and kiss Gerard's cheek before standing up again.

I slowly lift Aleah out of the bed, slipping on her loose pants and jacket, Gerard taking her boots.

"Well thanks again Christy, for watching her and all that." I lift up Leah's hood and cover up her small head.

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry about it you guys. Hope she feels better." She says with a sympathetic smile, to which I return with a wave as the three of us leave Christy's hotel.

"Gerard! You gotta' head out the door any minute now!" I yell before lifting up the phone to call room service for some soup.

"Yeah, yeah." He walks out of the bedroom in his suit, all prepped up. "Just wanna' check on Leah one more time." He looks up at me before heading into Aleah's bedroom.

"Gee, you've checked up on her five times in the past ten minutes, I'm sure she's fine."

"Well then let's make it six times in the past ten minutes." He smiles, an uneasy tone taking place for a split second at the end of his sentence.

I quickly order the soup for Aleah and just a little somethin-somethin for myself while Gerard's out performing. I hang up the phone after I'm done and just in time to see Gerard walk out of Aleah's bedroom once again.

"So, how's she been in the past minute?" I smirk before he laughs a little bit, walking over towards me.

"Took her temperature, about 102." He looks down at his dress shoes.
