Cedric sat on the stage with his script on his lap. "There's no way I'm going to memorize all these lines."

Troy ruffled his dirty blond hair. "Sure you will," he said. Troy was Cedric's oldest brother. He acted more like a father then anything else. I guess when you're the oldest of thirteen siblings, you get used to it.

Natalia, the third oldest, shoved Troy a little. "Oh, he's only eight. Cut him some slack!"

Troy rolled his eyes. "That's why I gave him the smallest part."

Cedric sighed inwardly. He wished he had enough confidence to tell them that he didn't even like acting. Everyone else did, even grandma.

Troy had writen the scrip himself. He loved to read and write and act. Cedric didn't like any of that. He glanced up at his brother, who was busy with something else right now, and silenty slipped out of the theater.

He walked up to the library were grandma was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. Cedric went to the table and sat down. A window was right across from him and he could see the rest of Grandma's mansion. Grandma was a weathly woman and she loved all her grandchildren and their abilities. She never got their names mixed up and she hated to scold them.

Grandma glanced at Credic. "How are the preperations for the play going?"

Cedric sighed. "Okay, I guess."

"Well I hope there more then okay. The play's only a month or so away and already the theater's three quarters full."

No matter how much grandma loved her grandchildren, she could be very unobsevent at times.

Before Cedric could reply, David, the exact middle child, rushed into the room. "Hey, kid. We need you!"

It wasn't unusual for people to try and steal the kids' abilities. Some of them were extreamly valuble. Most of the time, people sent clones and animals to do the work. Sometimes, they were real people. Either way, the kids were very protective of their powers.

Troy was getting everyone together and handing out balls, about the size of golf balls, that held their powers. When you turned eighteen, the power was permanatly sucked inside of you. Troy, being twenty three, obviously had no container for his powers. He wasn't the only one. He was also followed by Ian, Claire, Natalia, Jackson, and Liam. Liam has turned eighteen two months ago, and he had just gotten it down.

Cedric got his ball last. He knew how dangerous his powers were and rarely joined in the fight. He pocketed the ball and followed everyone else to the gate where their enemy was coming.

Cedric noticed that they were clones went to take the powers. It made him feel a little better that they weren't destoying real humans and animals.

Once the fight broke out, Cedric melted into the background. He didn't know how to control his powers yet and could hardly even open his ball. He once kicked it against a wall that was seven feet away as hard as he could and it didn't even crack. Why his siblings wanted him in the fight was a mystery.

Troy was using his powers of darkness against a clone when he saw Cedric standing on the sidelines. He sighed inwardly. The kid would never understand his powers by doing that.

One of the clones got past them and was running towards Cedric. "Ced!" Troy called. "Get rid of it!"

Cedric took a sharp intake of breath. This is your chance! He thought. Don't mess it up!

He ran after the clone. It resembled a wolf. Cedric took my ball and threw it on the ground.

Nothing.

He tried not to scream and picked up the ball again, aiming it at the clone. Cedric threw it with all my anger and hatred that boiled up inside of him of that dang little ball which hated me so much. It hit the wolf in the head, but stayed closed.

Cedric screamed though his teeth and snatched up the ball as he ran after the wolf. All the other kids had gotten their balls open no problem. It was just him.

The clone was nearing the house. Cedric through that little ball which he hated with all his might towards the wolf, but the clone dodged it. The ball hit the side of the house, and exploded open. But it didn't destroy the wolf, it destroyed the house.

You see, Cedric's power was chaos. It was a nightmare to control and was devestating if you couldn't. Cedric, being only eight, could not.

He watched in horror as his powers went haywire, desroying the house, one brick at a time. The wolf had gotten away, but Cedric wasn't worried about that anymore. He ran towards his powers, trying desperatly to control them.
"Come on!" He said desperatly. "Stop!"

The chaos froze, then caused an explosion large enough to knock Cedric off his feet.

"Cedric!" Someone yelled.

Cedric sat up, rubbing his head. "It won't listen to me!" He shouted. He turned to see Troy running towards him. Troy used his power to round up the chaos into Cedric's ball once again. Troy picked it up and handed the ball to Cedric. "You've got to learn control, Cedric," Troy said, trying to keep his voice calm. "You'll give Grandmother a heart attack!"

"It's too late for that," someone said behind Troy. Cedric and Troy both looked to see Ian holding in his arms, what remained of their Grandmother. "The blast must have killed her." Tears ran down Ian's cheeks.

Troy stared, open mouthed, then turned angrily to Cedric. "Look what you did now!" Tears brimmed his eyes. "If you could just learn to control yourself, this wouldn't have happened!"

Cedric started in horror at what he did. "I...I didn't..."

"Oh, we never mean to!" Troy growled. "But now it's done! Go to you're room!"

Cedric swollowed. There was a tight knot in his chest and tears were slowly slipping down his cheeks. He stomped off to his room, grabbed a suitcase, and started to pack up his belongings.

While everyone else was mourning, Cedric was making plans to run. He swiped his extra chaos balls from Troy's room and slipped out into the night. "I'm never coming back here. Not again." And with that, he was gone. Gone from the memory of what he had done, so it would never haunt him again.

Kinda choppy, but i have choppy dreams.
