No. No I can't draw hands. And yes, he is suppose to be dressed like 12.
Another boring day. School seemed to drag on, but at least is was getting close to summer break. I had just finished my shift at work and the weight of my backpack was weighing me down.
I decided that i would take a short cut through the allyway. I turned the corner and found the ally blocked by a blue box. Odd, I thought. What does Police Box even mean?
The door opened and a kid that didn't look any older then me stepped out of the box. He was wearing oversized clothes of an old man, had blond, wavy hair and an innocent looking face. He looked confused.
"Um, hi" I said.
The boy blinked. "Where am I?" He asked. He had a British accent. "Wait! Don't answer that." He thought really hard. "Am I somewhere in America?"
I nodded. "Chicago," I said. "What's your name?"
"Call me the Doctor."
"Doctor?" I asked. "What's that a code for? Your can't possibly be old enough to have you doctrates degree."
The boy looked confused for a second then glanced down at himself. His eyes widened. "I'm a...teen? Well, that's new..."
"What are you-"
"Look," the Doctor said. "Do you have somewhere I could rest for a while?"
I shrugged. "My parents own a bed and breakfast at our house. They'd be glad to have you."
"Great," the Doctor said.
"But you'll have to tell them your real name. You can't go telling everyone your a Doctor. Follow me."
We started walking home, but the Doctor suddenly stopped. He looked back at the blue box. "I wonder if I should leave that..."
"Well you can't carry it," I said.
The Doctor snapped. "Of course! Come on." He walked back to the blue box and stepped inside. I hesitated. I didn't know this boy and I was not going into a tiny Police Box with a total stranger.
The boy poked his head out. "You coming?"
I saw it in his eyes. They were a brilliant blue. Yet they seemed like the eyes of a much older person. Throwing caution into the wind, I stepped inside the blue box.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I blinked. I had to be imagining things. The inside was huge. I went back inside and looked at the box, then went back in. "I-It's bigger on the inside."
The Doctor smiled. "Yup," he said. "I hear that a lot."
"What is this thing?"
"This is my T.A.R.D.I.S."
"What's a Tardis?"
"It's a time machine."
I snorted. "Yeah right."
The Doctor lifted an eyebrow. "I'll prove it." He walked up to the controls and started pushing a bunch of random buttons and pulling levers. The Tardis started to shake so violently that I had to grab onto the wall for support so I wouldn't fall over.
Suddenly, it stopped. The Doctor walked to the door and opened it. We were in the middle of a castle. Correction, we were on top of a castle. I could see a jousting tournament below and the crowd was roaring. I couldn't believe my eyes. "This...this is crazy!" I said. "Take me home!"
The Doctor shrugged. "Okay," he said. The Tardis started to shake again, but it didn't last as long. Right as we landed, The Doctor doubled over in pain. "Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded. "Just...regenerated."
"Just what now?" I asked.
"Regenerated...changed...got a new me..." he groaned. "This is just part of the process."
He soon straightended out and smiled.
"What are you?" I asked.
"I'm a Time Lord," The Doctor said. "I might not like like it, but I'm 3,050 years old. I'm also an alien."
I blinked. "An alien?" I asked. "But you look..."
"Human?" The Doctor answered. "Yeah, I know."
I shook my head, not wanting to believe this. "This...you...how...?"
I turned around and opened the Tardis door. This kid was crazy. I'd obviously been drugged or something and now all I needed was some fresh air and I'd be fine.
I stepped out of the Tardis and blinked. I was right outside my house. No way, I thought.
The Doctor was standing in the doorway, smirking at my reaction. "I told you so," he said. "So are you coming of what?"
I swollowed. "I don't know. My parents..."
"We'all be back before they even knew you were gone," the Doctor said. He held out his hand. I was about to take it when he doubled over again. "On second thought," the Doctor said between his teeth. "I'd love to meet your parents."
Sorry, I just love the thought of the doctor being a teenager.
