Alex kept to his promise, stopping by my apartment in the late morning. "G'morning, E." I awkwardly waved back, still connecting all the pieces of my computer in their case, flashlight in my mouth. "Having fun there?"

I set down the wires I was dealing with and took the flashlight out of my mouth. "Oh yeah, I'm having a real party." I rolled my eyes. "I forgot just how much of a pain this is."

He kneeled down beside me and connected a few wires as I dealt with the others. After about fifteen minutes, everything seemed to be connected. "That should be it, I think," he muttered, looking over everything in the tower. I plugged it into the wall and my monitor and crossed my fingers as I pressed the power button. The Windows logo appeared on the screen. I gave a mental cheer and turned to Alex to high-five him.

"What else needs unpacking?" he asked.

"Uhm, I actually kind of need to go furniture shopping. Like, all my clothes are on the floor, and I don't even have a bed frame currently."

Alex laughed, shaking his head. "IKEA?" he suggested. I agreed silently, going to change out of my pajamas.

Right as I pulled on a coat to cover myself, I heard a knock on the door. "Alex! Get that please!" I pulled on my shoes and ran out to the main room.

Standing in the doorway was the guy from the elevator, Samuel, with a small bunch of flowers in his hand. He greeted Alex before turning to me. "Hey, Io. Just wanted to drop these off. Thought you could use some color until you got settled in."

"They're beautiful!" I took them from his hands and set them on the counter. "Thank you so much!"

"It's nothing, really." Samuel looked around the room, his eyes landing on my computer. "You play video games?"

I glanced over. "Uh, yeah, that's actually why I moved here. I'm a YouTuber, and I joined a network centered here."

"That's awesome!" He seemed genuinely fascinated. "And this is your boyfriend, I assume."

"Close," I replied, laughing. "Co-worker. He's just helping me get everything unpacked."

There was a pause. "Well, that's nice. Uh, so I should probably let you guys continue. See you around, Io." He excused himself.

As soon as the door closed, Alex turned to me. "That was strange."

"Strange? I thought it was sweet. He seems nice enough."

"Yeah, I just don't get why your neighbor would give you flowers. It's not a special occasion or anything."

"It's just housewarming. He'll probably never talk to me again in a few weeks."

Alex nodded. "So, should we get going?"

"Sounds good."

We spent way too long in IKEA. Most of it was just a waste of time- just walking around and taking pictures of ourselves posing on various pieces of furniture. But eventually we did actually buy furniture. Too much furniture, for that matter. It ended with Alex calling Ross and Trott to help haul it all back to my apartment.

They showed up around the same time, both surprised by all the stuff we had accumulated in just a few hours. "Well, welcome to England, E," Ross said, setting one of the boxes in the backseat of his car. "Nice to finally see you."

"Same here," Trott said, extending his hand. "Everyone at the office is really excited for you to get started."

"I bet you'll have a blast. Your office is right next to ours, so prepare for lots of yelling." I laughed at Ross' comment and continued helping them pack boxes into the car.

"Sorry you guys had to drive out here. I really didn't realize just how much stuff this was. At least my clothes won't be on the floor and I won't be sleeping on the floor."

"Don't worry about it," Trott affirmed. "We're happy to help out."

I gave a thumbs up and closed the door on Ross' car. "So, uh, just follow Alex? Sound good?"

They both nodded and hopped into the driver's seat of their cars.

All four of us managed to get back to my apartment just fine. Ross and Trott helped Alex and I haul the boxes up and had a look around the place. As soon as I mentioned putting everything together, they were gone.

Alex helped me put together a dresser and bed frame before I forced him to go home. I hated kicking him out but he needed his own time. He couldn't just baby me through moving to England. Although he could most definitely drive me to work.

I put together a bedside table and decided to give up on the rest until I had more time. My apartment was really starting to look like an actual apartment. I took a picture and posted it to twitter.

aelewin: Thanks so much to Ross, Trott, and Alex for helping me get all this here! :D

I snuggled into my covers and set an alarm for 6AM. Tomorrow was going to be my first "official" day as a Yogscast member and I didn't want to be late.
