Chapter 3: Oh, darling. I'm rich.

"What, janitor?" Patawa kong sinabi.

"Laugh all you can, honey. But I work at a magazine. I'm one of the writers. Believe it or not, I'm the youngest."

Of course. Magaling talaga siyang magsulat. Elementary palang kami palagi na siyang sumasali sa mga essay writing.

"But how did you get in?"

"I was shopping and then I met this guy. He thinks I have a good taste in fashion. We talked and talked and talked. And guess what?"

"You decided to date him?"

Tumatawa siya sabay sabing, "What? No. But yeah, he thought I was a gay. Anyways, he offered me an internship. He said that I would be perfect for the job."

"Oh." was all that I can say

"I could bring you to New York."

What?!

"And what made you assume that I wanna go to New York?"

"Who wouldn't love New York?"

"Maybe me?"

"Ugh. You're frustrating, bes. Get out of your comfort zone and start exploring!"

"Okay. Let's say, I want to go to New York, really really want. But I still can't. I'm still studying. College, remember?"

"College degree's not needed when you have connections, Trish"

Wow. What is this?

"Look, gusto ko makapagtapos, okay? Gusto kong bigyan si Mama ng something na ikakaproud niya sakin. Ako nalang kaya walang title sa bahay. That sucks."

Totoo naman e. Nakakainis yung ikaw yung bunso. Ikaw palagi huli.

"Whatever you say. But think about it."

"Alright. I need to go to the powder room."

"Straight ahead. Turn left. Second door."

I followed his directions. Gosh. Ang hirap dumaan sa gantong kadaming tao. I saw Myko's parents talking to some rich people. Then Danica who waved at me and flash her smile with her braces. Wait, braces?

There's so many dancing people and the music is so loud. What's this, a club?

My heart is in my mouth. I'm shocked at the next person that caught my eye. It's that boy. My crush! Nandito si Chinito!
