16-Awake.

{Ashton's POV}

Jess-Are you sure you're okay ash? It's okay to say you're not. I know that this is really rough for you.

Me-Yeah, I'm fine babe. Just tired and a little stressed. Everything is just a little crazy.

Jess-Okay. I'll check in on the apartment. Do you need anything else?

Me-No,thank you so much babe. I'll be there in an hour or so.

"Mmmhhhhh... Texting y/n?" Michael mumbles his eyes cracking open, I laughed a little, he smiled at me. Since the car accident Michael had really struggled with putting things in a time line, he still thought Y/N was alive but he knew who Emily was, but didn't know that she was where she is...

"You know, you were asleep for 2 weeks, but for some reason we can keep you wake for 10 minutes." I laughed, Michael laughed a little then winced in pain, he had 3 broken ribs, a concussion, a broken arm, and a broken leg, but other then that he's lucky to be alive.

"Topic avoiding, what's wrong bud?" Michael asked, furrowing his brows.

"Michael," I heard Luke say from behind me.

"Hey. Join the party, Ashton and y/n are having troubles." Michael said trying to smile.

"Michael. Y/n... y/n she died a year ago." Luke said sitting next to me.

"No...NO! I JUST SAW HER! I SAW HER YESTERDAY!" Michael yelled wincing at how loud he was.

"Michael... you were in a coma yesterday." I said touching his shoulder. Tears rolled down his face.

"She's alive, though," Michael whimpered like a little kid not getting their way. Tears streamed down his face like rain on a car window. I reached out and touched his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry mike. I did everything I could to save her. I tried so hard buddy." I said my voice cracking and my eyes watering.

"I remember now. It just felt so real that she was there. I thought she was there." Michael said weakly.

"Did she say anything to you Michael?" Luke asked leaning forward.

"Yeah, she said something about a Jessica? She said something about Luke being an asshole to Brooke? and something about Leah and Luke? And she said something about guys named Ryland and Evan? oh and something about a...uh...umm... Emily? maybe I'm not too sure. I don't really remember everything too well. Its all kinda burry to me? its like my mind made up a totally different world." Michael said confused.

"What would you say if I told you that all of those people where real?" The doctor said walking into the room.

"Hey babe!" I heard Jess chirp running up to me, as I closed the door behind me.

"Hey", I sighed trying my hardest to smile. She furrowed her brows looking up at me.

"I'm here if you want to talk, Ash. You know that right?" I nodded looking down at her, gently kissing her lips softly.

"Its just, Michael and Emily. And Brooke and Emily. And Luke and Leah. Everything just got so fucking complicated, everything just exploded." I sighed, I was starting to get fursrated, I rested my hands on Jess' hips. She hugged me, wrapping her arms around me and rubbing small circles in my lower back, I rested my head on her head. "I just miss things not being so complicated," I breathed, as Jess pulled away.

"I know love. But we both know that's not how life works. Emily and Brooke will get better. And Luke and Leah, well people are just gonna have to figure out how to accept  them. But everything is going to fall into place. But Ash, worrying about everyone's problems is going to drive you insane" She said looking me in the eyes. I nodded, relaxing slightly but only enough to function. Sometimes it felt like this was just a really bad dream, and tomorrow I was going to wake up and everything would be fine, back to the way they were a year ago.
