Chapter 87 Friends

3rd POV

Everyone could move when Fei stopped using his powers. Torb stole the ball and kicked at Tenma.

Tenma: "That's right! The match is still going!"

Yashima: The game moves once more! But there are only a few seconds left!

Before anyone could kick the ball from the air, the whistle blew.

Yashima: The match is over! A tie of 2-2! It's a draw!

Tenma: "Fei!"

Supporter X came over to Hisame and Fei. Hisame stared at him before nodding, allowing Supporter X to carry him. As Saru announced another match with his team, Supporter X carried Fei away. 

Tenma: "Wait!"

Supporter X: "Saving this boy is my responsibility."

Supporter X said before disappearing into the tunnel, Hisame followed them. Tenma paused before following after them, with the rest of Raimon running to catch up.

Hisame: "The mental strain might have been too much."

Supporter X: "It's alright. Fei is stronger than that. But for his will to be weaker than Saru's power..."

Supporter X took off his hood as everyone came in.

Fei: "Mm... who are you?"

Asurei: "I am Asurei Rune. Your father."

Everyone: !

Shindou: "Father?!"

Nishiki: "Supporter X?!"

Tenma: "Fei! Is he really your father?"

Fei glared.

Fei: "Why are you here?"

Asurei: "I wanted to watch over you. That is why I joined Feida..."

Fei: "Now that you're here, what do you want me to do about it?"

Asurei's face dropped.

Fei: "You just felt like helping me today. Is that it?"

Asurei: "N-No!"

Fei: "Aren't you the one who left me? You left me because you were scared of me!"

Asurei: "You're wrong. It wasn't you I was scared of."

Fei: "Then what? Why did you abandon me?"

Asurei: "... I... was afraid of losing my position as one of El Dorado's directors. It was a position I had built up for almost my entire life."

Fei: ...

Asurei: "If El Dorado found out about you, they would tear you to pieces. It was the only way to protect both you and me. But I could not turn my back on you completely. I grew worried about you and joined Feida. I became Supporter X and approached Saru in order to look after you..." 

Fei: "You're too late."

Asurei: !

Fei: "You're too late! Everything is too late!"

Asurei: "It's never too late! You must leave Feida now."

Fei: "You're all selfish. Saru too..."

Asurei: "Listen to me, Fei. If you continue to stay in Feida, your soul will be consumed by Saru's evil heart." 

Fei: "My feelings won't change."

Tenma: "Fei... let's at least hear what your father has to say..."

Fei: "Be quiet, Tenma!"
