"Was it good?!"

Angelina and Alicia stared at Matilda, expectant grins spreading across their faces as they perched cross-legged on the ends of their beds. Their dormitory glowed with the soft amber of the setting sun filtering through the curtains, casting lazy golden streaks across discarded socks, textbooks, and an open box of Honeydukes fudge. The two girls had been seconds from bursting all week; Matilda's refusal to share Valentine's Day details had driven them half-mad. But the Full Moon had fallen only two nights after, leaving her pale, exhausted, and irritable.

Now, finally recovered, she was in high spirits—and in a talkative mood.

"Unbelievable, Ange," Matilda said, her grin turning conspiratorial. "A bit awkward and painful at first, but after that..." She placed her hands over her heart and dramatically flopped back onto her pillow, pretending to faint.

Angelina let out a delighted shriek while Alicia made a skeptical noise, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Sex can't be that good."

Matilda and Angelina shared a look that needed no words.

"Oh," Alicia said flatly, blinking. "It's that good, then."

"You ought to find someone," Angelina said, her tone half-teasing, half-sincere as she absent-mindedly twisted the end of a braid between her fingers. "I did it with Lee, and while we haven't exactly worked out..." She trailed off, lips twitching. "It was still pretty damn good."

Matilda propped herself on her elbows, curious. "What is between you and Lee, anyway?"

Angelina groaned, falling back dramatically. "I don't know! We don't want to date each other, but we don't mind doing couple-ish things. It's comfortable. Confusing, but comfortable."

"You two are so weird," Alicia said, rolling her eyes before pointing accusingly at Matilda. "That's how you started with Fred, you know. Sneaky get-togethers in the shadows back in Fifth Year."

Matilda gaped. "How on earth do you know about that?!"

"I have eyes and ears everywhere," Alicia said darkly, though her smirk betrayed her.

Angelina snorted. "Merlin's beard, that's terrifying."

"Did you know Terry Boot and Roger Davies are a thing?" Alicia continued gleefully, eyes sparkling. "One of my sources caught them leaving a broom cupboard only minutes apart." She sang the word suspicious like a tune.

"Roger Davies?" Matilda frowned. "Isn't he still with Fleur?"

"Apparently not," Alicia said, leaning back smugly.

Matilda shook her head, laughter bubbling from her chest. "Very suspicious indeed..."

A few hours later, Roger Davies' sneaky business was the least of Matilda's concern.

"You want me to do what?!"
