Chapter 31: This Is It...

Em's P.O.V :

I heard Matt saying how I shed a tear and how I squeezed his hand a lot. I hope I get to wake up like everyone wants me to. I don't want to let myself down to restart things. Well not really restart but have a fresh start. When I heard everyones feet shuffling inside. I decided this is the moment and time I should wake up. This is the big moment I've been trying so hard to live.

Matt's P.O.V:

When all the guys were in the hospital room with Em and I. I took a breath and said,

"I know I've messed up a lot lately we all have, but tonight can we all not argue and act like we hate each other lets have Em believe we're fine."

Everyone nodded their heads in an understanding way. I knew Emily could hear me even though she did I didn't care. I just didn't want to see her upset again. I looked over to Johnson and said,

"Bro if you want my sister to know how you feel you should tell her when she wakes up. Cause she may not remember what you said." he looked at me in a shocking way that meant "Why in the hell did you mention that"

I knew Shawn heard me and he looked as if he was about to say something like he was going to second guess himself, but he just came out and said it.

"Johnson I'm not going to fight with you about Em. We'll just have to let her decide who she wants. Nash we know she definatly doesn't want you because I'm sorry man you screwed up." I couldn't believe that Shawn told Johnson that.

"Yeah we'll just have to wait and see." Johnson said in a reassuring tone. Nash just gave Shawn a annoyed look.

Suddenly Emily's beeper went off. Her heart was crashing. I was freaking out she cried I thought everything would be okay after that. The doctors came running inside. I couldn't believe Em was leaving me.

"What do we got!?" The doctor asked the nurse. "We've got a 15 year old girl who's been in a comma for about 3 weeks now. Left side of her brain shattered right side perfectly fine."

"What's going on!? What are you talking about!? Someone tell me what's going on with my sister!? Anyone!" The doctor looked at the nurse and said "GET HIM OUT OF HERE NOW! GET THEM ALL OUT OF HERE!" Nurses were coming into her room.

The doctor brought out a recesistator and said "Alright give me 10 Joules." Than nurse than said "Clear!" My sisters body sprung up like a Barbie doll after you throw them into the air. "Give me 20 joules." The doctor said with the recesistator in her hands. The nurse than said again "Clear!"

"One more time give me 30 Joules." "Heart rate at 15!" The nurse said. "CLEAR!"
My sisters body sprung up one last time. All I heard after that was
*Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*
"Turn it off nurse Nancy." She clicked the bottom next to her. "Time of death?" The doctor called out. "11:23am" another doctor said.

My sister died that morning. She never got to walk down the aisle, never got to tell Shawn or Jack if she loved them. Never got to have a family of her own. I was crying. Tears just running down my face. Shawn was on his knees screaming "NO!!! NO NO NO." he was sobbing. Johnson wasn't crying he just patted Shawn's back and said "It'll be alright Shawn it's okay man." He than hugged Shawn.

The doctor came out and closed the door behind her and said "I'm sorry your sister didn't make it Mr. Espinosa." I cried in Nash's arms and tried pulling myself together but how could I when I just lost my sister. "What happen Doc she cried and squeezed so many of our hands. I don't understand." 

"Mr.Espinosa please call me Dr. Grey. And your sister was in a major comma that caused her to be brain dead."I wipped the tears away. And stood up on my own. 

"When she cried yesterday what did that mean?" I was confused.

"Mr.Espinosa that was the last time she was going to show affection for you or whatever she was feeling at the time. She became brain dead this morning. Which cause half of her brain to be brain dead and we couldn't do anything about it but hope that we could resistate. And hope she'd come back. I'm very sorry for your lost today sir." I nodded my head and said, 

"Me too." I said with my hands in my face. 

"Mr. Espinosa would you like to see your sister one last time?" I nodded my head and followed the nurse to the area of where every dead body was. 

Dr. Grey walked to the side of Em's bed. Shawn, Johnson, and Aaron were with me. Rosie was with the rest of the guys outside.

"I remember when we were kids and we use to ask each other where we thought our bodies would go after we died. I use to say heaven and you use to say somewhere in this world. Em I wish you can tell me where yours went. Em I'm gonna miss you so much. You were the best sister I ever had. I love you Em. You'll always be my doofus sister. And I'll always be the idiot brother who loved you so much." 

I cried and cried and cried. I was pretty much sobbing. Shawn than went Em's body and grabbed her hand and said, "Hi beautiful, you're so gorgeous when you're sleeping I know you'll wake up soon and this is all just a dream. You'll be laying right next to me when I wake up from this horrible dream." Shawn started to choke after he said that last sentence and cried into my sister's chest.

Johnson came and grabbed Shawn and took him out into the hall way and Rosie grabbed him she was crying also but not as bad as Shawn was. Johnson went next to my sister and said, "My beautiful Emily. I remember when you first came to Magcon Matt thought your heart was going to be broken and he was right. It broke. It broke for the wrong person though I should've been in that car with you Em. I should've told you not to go. I love you Em. I love you so much. You ran through my mind 24/7. I remember when we watched the ninja turtles movie and you said it'd always be our movie because it reminded you of how you and Matt use to be ninja's when u stole food from the fridge when your mom wasn't looking. I love you my beautiful Emily." Johnson didn't cry he just brushed off the hair that was in her face. And walked out of the room. Aaron than went in front of her body and said, "You were my bestfriend. I should've talked to you more I should've been there for you everyone has cried except me I have to be the strong one because thats what you wanted me to be. You use to tell me to be strong if anything ever happened to anyone. I love you Em. Thanks for being my bestfriend." 

Aaron was sobbing. It was true though he never got the chance to cry like the rest of us did. He was always the strong one. He was screaming for her to come back and saying that he wouldn't leave her anymore. I grabbed Aaron and pulled him out of the room and I did the peace hand shake just like we use to do as kids. But this time it wasn't the same cause Em wasn't there. 

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Alright you probably hate me but I had to she had to go I really wanted to share this dramatic moment I thought of because it was just to good. I hope I made some of you cry because I cried a bit.
