After the cure worked, DJ Suki was placed in recovery — her arms wrapped in thick bandages, her hair a little frizzier than usual but her eyes bright and aware again.
Three weeks had passed since the operation. The boys watched through the observation window as DJ Suki sat up in bed, chatting quietly with Dr. Moonbloom and Laguna, who were monitoring her condition.
When Clay finally stepped out of the room, clipboard in hand, everyone turned to him anxiously.
He took a deep breath and smiled. "Okay, so here's what we know: once the venom is fully removed, the patient experiences a few lingering symptoms — sore limbs, slight lengthening of arms and legs, but it's gradually reversing. That's marked as recoverable."
He flipped a page on his clipboard. "Low energy levels — they'll need sugar and physical therapy to rebuild strength. Also recoverable. And the recurring headaches? They come and go but lessen over time. The body's still adjusting to life without the venom."
