It's been eight years since I first wrote this story—and nearly two years since I finally gathered the courage to finish editing it.

A lot can happen in eight years. I've lived through grief, healing, rediscovery, and grace. And in many ways, I rewrote this story not just for the characters—but for myself. Because I changed. And I knew their story deserved to grow with me.

Today, we've reached over 500,000 reads. Half a million hearts. I'm still in awe.

Thank you for giving this story a chance.

Thank you for giving Maricar a chance—even when she was flawed, broken, and hard to love. And thank you for staying, even when it hurt.

As I close this chapter, I want to leave you with this:

God sees it all.

Even the parts no one claps for. Even the wounds you try to hide. Even the days when forgiveness feels impossible, and healing feels far away.

So don't take matters into your own hands.

Don't rush His timeline just to quiet your fear.

We serve a God who is just. A God who restores. A God who doesn't waste any pain.

Here's to more stories ahead.

More healing. More grace. More beginnings—especially the kind that don't look like the ones you planned... but end up being exactly what you needed.

Thank you for walking with me all this time.
You made this story what it is.
