"GOOD MORNING, Ma'am Maricar!" The staff greeted her. "Good morning, Sir Tristan"

"Good morning, Tania, you're going to be the receptionist,"

"Yes, Ma'am. Kuya Aldre told me before he came home last night" she smiled.

"Very good and call all the crew to start the morning prayer before opening," Tania said then did what she said.

"I am falling in love with you more, Baby" Tristan teased and dropped her bag when they arrived at her mini office. "Can I ask for a kiss?"

Maricar chuckled and wrapped her arms around her boyfriend's neck "You do not have a meeting??

"I don't want to leave, I want to see you all over the day," he said and smiled at her.

"Are you guilty of something?" She glared at him. "You're too sweet since last night"

"If it's a sin to love you that much then I am sorry," he kissed her lips. "I would never do that to you, baby" then he kissed her temples.

"I'm just kidding. I love you" she sweetly said and embraced him so tight.

"I love you most" It seemed that they have no intention of pulling away from the embrace.

"Alright, that's enough! I know you have a meeting that you have to catch. I'll just see you when?" She asked. "I'll meet the coordinator this afternoon"

She's so excited about their wedding preparations. She can't wait for it!

"Then I'll try my best to see you this afternoon. I'm sorry, Baby but I promise that I'll do my very best" he apologetically said.

She caressed his face and looked into his eyes. "Just promise me that you'll be in our counseling"

"That I will not miss. I promise" Good thing about Tristan, he keeps his promises. That's one of the things she loves about him, "I'll miss you, I call you later"

He left the restaurant and watched his vehicle leave. She even waved him while he blew her a flying kiss.

She was smiling until she saw a familiar figure standing in front of her restaurant.

What is she doing here?

"Maricar .." her eyes were swollen, obviously she just cried. "C-can we talk?"

She invited her to the restaurant and offered her food. But, she barely touched all the food that was prepared for her, she really looked so tired.

"How was your husband?" She asked.

"That's not what he remembers." Cynthia inaudibly said. "I-I'm not his wife, it's yo-you..."

"You waived that right seven years ago, Cynthia. Have you forgotten?" Maricar said without any expression in her face.

"He needs you--"

Maricar burst as she clenched her fist. "I don't."

"Oh c'mon, Maricar, do not flatter yourself so much! I won't give my husband--"

"So, what are you still doing here?" She cut her off.

"He won't talk to me, Maricar" she cried, again. "He slashed me out and looks for you" She holds her hand, "Please..."

"Just tell him the truth, Cynthia," she said and sighed, "Tell him that it's 2013 now and not 1998 anymore," he added "Tell him all the things that have happened for the past fifteen years. Don't you two have a secret relationship with those times?"

Cynthia could not deny it. She's guilty.

"Between the two of us, you're the one who knows him better. Between the two of us you are the ones who know more about what happened to you two," Maricar said. "Tell him the truth, Cynthia, he left us for you then you must be really special"

Maricar stood up, "I'm getting married in six months. We're happy, Cynthia, please, do not come back here," she politely excused herself.

She goes straight to her mini office when she felt warm hands lie on her shoulder.

"It's okay. It's just me" he turned and saw Tristan. "Come here, baby" he came back and pulled her into an embrace.

She burst into his solid chest while he holds her tightly.

"I'm here, it's okay," He said. "I'm here, baby"

"We're already at peace, we're happy, why do they have to show up?" She cried. "How dare them..."

"What happened, baby?" He asked her, "Did he hurt you?"

Maricar head shakes, "T-the hospital called me, Dominic got into a car accident, he lost his memories from 1998 until now, Cynthia was worried because the wife he remembered was me and not her."

Tristian didn't say a word, he just stays in his place. Comforting her with his embrace.

"I'm sorry, Tristan, I'm sorry if I didn't tell you, it's no longer important to me--"

"Shh," he cupped her face and wipe the tears from her eyes. "Do you have any plans?"

"I'm afraid that he would find us and would see the children. He's in a different state right now, he wouldn't recognize them but, I'm afraid of what he would do about that!" Tristan hugged her again.

"No, I will not let him" He sounded so serious about it. "He would have to go through me first"

With his words, she felt safe.
