DOMINIC just arrived home from a date when he received a text message from his son.

Slyther:
Dad, are you home?

He smiled upon reading it and didn't hesitate to reply.

Him:
I am. Why are you
still awake? I know you're tired.

He was his date earlier. After his class, he invited Slyther over snacks and they went to the arcade. They talked about so many things including Emma, the girl he's been courting.

It was really fun. They had a father and son bonding. He's hoping that Gryffin and Raven would join them next time.

Slyther:
I can't sleep.

His brows furrowed and instantly replied asking why.

Slyther:
Kuya Raven and Huffle won't come because Mommy won't come.

This is about his plan to celebrate his son's birthday this coming weekend. Even though he has a hunch that Maricar might not come, but he still tried.

Him:
It's okay, son. We can still go if you want. What do you think?

It wasn't so long when he replied.

Slyther:
Sorry, Dad but I can't spend it without them. I hope you understand.

He sighed. Of course, he does. He will always understand now.

Him:
Don't you fret, son.
How about this coming weekend?
Let's go again to the arcade!

Slyther didn't reply anymore. Maybe he already fell asleep. He went inside his house that he could barely call home.

But, what can he do now? Nothing.

"You're late" He stopped at the door when he saw Cynthia obviously waiting for him at the living room, "Where have you been?"

Cynthia has been patient with him ever since he got out of the hospital, but right now, he could see her restraint.

"I was taking care of something"

"You came from them," She was calm yet sounded so sure rather than asking. Her facial expression changed and crossed her arms, "You came from them, right?"

Dominic sighed but he can't deny for it was true. He was actually there just outside of their house while he was inside his car and parked nearby. Enough to see them at the window pane.

He watched his family that he could no longer hold, he could no longer kiss. The family he once dreamed of was no longer his.

His silence just made Cynthia right. She turned her face away to cover her tears yet couldn't hold her composure anymore as she snapped right there.

"Why do you keep coming back to them? What do they have that you can't forget and move on?" she cried.

"Please, I don't want to argue with you, Cynthia. Stop this..." He was about to walk out on her when she pulled his arms and made him turn.

"I'm your wife!" She blurted out, "D-Dominic, fifteen years... Fifteen long years..."

"Stop. Just stop it, Cynthia" His jaw clenched as he inhaled sharply, "I don't want to hear it anymore... " he said while looking into Cynthia's eyes.

He didn't want them to reach this point but he pushed her. He can't control it now.

"I don't wanna hear over and over again on how did I leave my family... "
