"Right that's it the last moving van has arrived at new home we better go meet them" dad yelled to me up the stairs.
"I'll be there in a sec" I shouted back. I was on Facebook. I scrolled down my news feed for the 100th time before clicking the deactivate button. "New house, new life, new me" I muttered while I closed my laptop and shoved it into my backpack.

"It's beautiful" I say to dad as we turn into the box filled driveway. The house was big. It was old and had ivy covering some of the walls. It had big windows and a large door with a white porch.
The inside was Victorian themed, there was some furnature in it like paintings. And sofas and stuff but no curtains. I walked up the old, curving staircase to the next floor. On one side of the staircase was the main bathroom, what looked like a study and a large room (I'm guessing dads room) and on the other a smaller room(mine) with an en suite attached. My room had a bed in it and a oak wood wardrobe. There was also a room next to that, I tried the door but it was locked.
I got the key from dad and swung open the door to see a small room filled with books and diaries of many famous writers. The previous owner must have been a collector.
"Honey can you help with these boxes please!" Dad shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

All the boxes were now in the rooms they need to be unpacked into. My room was still a mess. I had unpacked most of my clothes and had assembled my bedside table and dressing table.
I went downstairs and started unpacking the cutlery when dads car pulled in the drive. He had gone out about 30 minutes ago.
"Who wants pizza?" He asked rhetorically.
"Who doesn't?" I chuckle. As we sit at the island in the kitchen chomping on our food dad grabs my hand and tells me "this is going to be good for us. We was trapped in that town for too long. See it's already having an effect on you." I smiled and we didn't speak for the rest of the night as I was pretty beat from such a long day.  I fell asleep pretty much straight away.

The next day I finished unpacking. I opened the last box, photos, I pinned up my photography photos and put my photo albums on a shelf. Finally, at the bottom of the box, was a photo of me and mom together at Disneyland when I was 8. A tear fell from my eye as I sat the photo next to my bed.
Dad was out. He was going for an interview for some big company or something so I tried to tidy up around the house, put boxes away, wash the dishes ect.
After I finished I decided to go to the coffee shop around the corner.
"Just a latte please" I said not really looking up from my feet.
"Haven't seen you here before. You new? Oh and £2.85 please" a deep voice said, I looked up to see a guy with dark hair and green eyes. His appearance was outstanding. I handed him the money and said "just moved here" he smiled and took the money.
"Thought so, id remember a pretty face like yours" he winked as he passed me the coffee.
"Thanks I said." I walked off. The shop was quite busy but I found a nice table in the corner away from everyone. A few minutes passed and I was half way through drinking my coffee when the boy that served me sat opposite me and said "josh" and held his hand out.
"Maddie" I replied, ignoring his hand.
"Where have you moved to then?" He asked
"Oakley way" I said being blunt
"I live down there! Number 42"
"40" oh great he's my neighbour "shouldn't you be working I asked finishing my coffee.
"Just finished, wanna ride home" I had already spent too much time with him.
"Nope I'll walk. Bye" I said slipping out of the seat and hurrying to the door. I had been walking for about 30 seconds before it started to rain. A car pulled up next to me, the window rolled down, surprise surprise it's josh.
"Get in" he slid across and opened the door. I hurried in. "Why didn't you want me to drive you?" He asked.
"My dad told me never to go off with strangers." I said smugly.
" sweetie we've known each other about 10 minutes were barely strangers" he laughed pulling into the drive.
"Thanks for the ride" I say undoing my seatbelt to get out the car, he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him, his other hand slithered up my side to my neck, he leaned in...
"What the hell are you doing?" I shout and pull away "I just met you!" I dived out the car and raced across the grass to my front door, as I was unlocking the door I heard him shout "don't act like you didn't want it!"
