A/N zayn's not gonna be in the band (sorry) but he's still going to be in this story bc he's bae. Also I'm basically just going to make up events and stuff for the boys nothing here is realistic and even their relationships will be fiction so it's basically an au with just the name of the band being the same lmao.

i'm feeling lost, feeling tongue-tied, and now i'm frozen in your headlights.

"I'm really sorry," I stammer out.

"Its okay, love, really it was my fault."

Harry was smiling at me as I got up,  offering me a hand but I declined, getting up on my own.

"No. I mean about last time. Didn't mean to run off like that it was rude." I explain, standing awkwardly as he stares at me, making me slightly uncomfortable.

"Yeah it really was." he deadpans and my heart sinks.

I was sorry but the way he had said it made me feel even worse. I was truly at a loss for words, "Oh,"

"I'm kidding, babe." Harry laughs, shaking his head in amusement as I laugh awkwardly, finally able to breathe again.

"Right."

"I like your hair."

"What?" I look at him in confusion.

"Your hair. It's pink." Harry says, pointing at my hair as if to show me the color and I can't help but look where he's pointing, then back up to see his smiling face.

His smile could truly end world poverty.

The way Harry looks at me makes me want to scream out in joy, but also cry in panic as this is all too overwhelming for me. Seeing members of the band three times in one week is a little bit too much, specially for someone like me.

"Oh. Yeah. Thanks. I'm sorry i have to go, my taxi is waiting for me." I say, pointing towards the door and I could swear I notice Harry's smile fading for almost a second, then spreads widely again as he nods his head in understanding. "Right. Yeah, it was great meeting you. Like, properly."

Harry laughs at the last thing he says, and I can't help but smile at him.

I see his friends, the people that he probably came with, look at him, most likely wondering why he's standing here with me and not with them which brings me back to my senses. "Yeah, um. Bye." I smile once more, starting to make my way to the door but also not wanting to leave before he does.

Harry lingers in his spot for a minute then looks back at his friends, turning his head facing me once more and waving goodbye as I head out the hotel entrance and he finally returns to his spot with his awaiting friends.

It was a bit past seven when Adam knocked on the door of Joe's apartment.

"Hey, kiddo," he greeted as he took a seat next to me on the couch.

"That was my place man not cool," Joe pouts from the doorway and Adam shrugs.

Joe and I were sat watching a cooking show on television after failing to find anything interesting before Adam had came.

We'd spent the entire day talking and getting to know each other more and I was pleased to find out what a truly nice person Joe was from all the stories that he'd  told me about himself.

I, on the other hand, wasn't able to be fully honest with him and had to make up a few lies about my upbringing, finding it a tad bit awkward to have to tell him about my more than cliché sad childhood of the alcoholic father and depressed mother. Lying was definitely needed.
