Natalie's POV:
My alarm went off and I quickly turned it off and listened for any sounds. When nothing was heard, I sighed in relief and quietly got up from my bed. I walked to my window and opened the curtain. The dim sky met my eyes and I looked at the horizon where the sun was slowly rising.
Many colors streaked the sky. Purples and reds leaked into each other and faded into a beautiful pink color.
I looked over all the buildings in this small town and smiled slightly. This is the type of town where everyone knows everyone. Being that everyone knows who lives next to them, there's so much trust.
I remembered when my neighbor, Erza, a kind old woman, would always stop by every Friday to drop off homemade chocolate chip cookies. The day she died, everyone in town went to her funeral to mourn for a woman who was loved by all.
It seemed that her death affected everyone.
Even as tragedies occurred, they were all accidental.
The people in this town don't steal and they don't kill. I wasn't alive when there was a murder last in this town. All in all, I felt safe. I smiled and walked to the bathroom, beginning my morning routine.
Kat's POV
I quickly pulled my black skirt on. I was standing in front of my full body mirror. The skirt reached mid thigh and I smoothed it down, pulling my shirt as far low as I could and sighed when I noticed the top of my red, flimsy tank top was also pulled down and my cleavage was basically spilling out. I tried fixing it, but left it as it was when I noticed that it could not be fixed.
I walked to my dresser and looked at my face and cringed at the bruises he left yesterday. Blue and purple blotches coated my cheekbones. I reached up and softly graced my finger over it, wincing at the pain that arose.
The usual amount of concealer wouldn't cover it up. I began caking my makeup on and once I was finished, the bruises were gone and I looked perfect, just like I needed to.
Just as I finished putting on my black heels, I heard a honk from outside and prepared myself. I don't really like being Miss Popular at all, but if not, I would be made fun of.
I quickly rushed passed the kitchen, where my father was, and picked up my pink book bag on the way out. I didn't worry about breakfast, trying to avoid him as much as possible.
As soon as I was out, I plastered a fake smile on my face, "hey Theresa."
"Hey Kat!" she shouted and I winced as I got in her car. It's going to be another long day.
Jessica's POV
I leaned down and kissed his neck, trailing my lips up to his jaw and he groaned underneath me.
We were making out in the school's parking lot in his car and I was so engrossed in the moment that I didn't notice when I leaned back and placed my elbow on the wheel until a loud honk resounded and I jumped.
Matt laughed and I glared at him.
"It's not funny," I exclaimed and he tried to hold in his chuckles, but failed. I continued to glare at him until he calmed down.
"I'm sorry baby, it was just- you're face!" he went into another round of chuckles and I rolled my eyes, scoffing at him and opening the door, getting out of the car.
"Jess! It was funny."
I glared at him, my brown eyes piercing his and he sighed.
"I'm sorry babe," he looked at me innocently, trying to send his apology to me through his own eyes.
I shook my head at him, deciding to give him the silent treatment, turning my back on him.
I heard as he stepped out of the car, gave an exaggerated sigh, and shut the door. Then, I felt his arms wrap around my waist.
"You know Savannah would've been laughing too.." He trailed off and I crossed my arms angrily.
"Bringing our child up isn't going to make me happier with you, Matt," he knew it wouldn't make me feel better, yet he said it each time.
"I'll spend entire afternoon with her and kick you out of the room," I threatened. Matt let an unbelieving gasp escape his lips.
"I promise it wasn't funny!" He hugged me tighter and began tickling me. Even as I tried to hold in my laughter, I couldn't resist anymore when it all bubbled to the surface and I was a laughing mess in his arms.
"Okay!" I exclaimed, "apology accepted!"
"Good," and with that last word, he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers, "let's get this day over with so we can spend time with our daughter."
Jason's POV
"Yo Chris!" I shouted to get his attention and he swiftly turned towards me, "Go long!" with that being said, I threw the football at him and he ran to catch it. When he caught it, I laughed and jogged over to him.
Chris was my best friend since first grade when he helped me beat up some racist kids in our class. Some people still look at us a bit odd, mainly those same kids, but we find it completely normal for an African American to be friends with a white kid.
Although crimes aren't common, racism is in this town.
I patted Chris on the shoulder and congratulated him. He turned to me, laughing and high fiving me.
Suddenly, he looked behind me and nodded to the entrance to the parking lot and I turned to see what he was nodding at. I just stared at her. My crush since third grade, Natalie.
I know I'm a football player, but even now in eleventh grade, I couldn't muster up the guts to talk to her. She was so beautiful and my team mates tease me about being 'whipped', but I didn't care.
Like me, she was African American, but unlike me, she was a loner and I honestly felt bad, but around her, my words were cut off and I couldn't speak.
My eyes followed her to the entrance of the school where she disappeared.
I needed to talk to her.

Hello readers,
This story was inspired by a dream I had a couple months ago (yes I know, dark dreams). Anyway, I know there are many POVs in this chapter, but not each chapter will be this way. The maximum POVs each chapter will have will be two or three.
Please tell me what you think so far.
