RAIN’S POV

It’s been three days since First’s party.
And still… I haven’t been able to look at Phayu the same way.

He’s in class, sitting beside me, but every time our shoulders accidentally touch, I flinch just a little.
He notices — I know he does — because his gaze lingers on me longer than it should.
But he doesn’t ask.

Maybe he doesn’t care.

Sky has been… everywhere lately.
Always nearby. Always smiling.
At first, it was comforting — someone who didn’t ask questions, who just listened.
But now, every time I see him waiting by my locker or walking me to class, something in me tightens.

Still, I let him.
Because it’s easier than being alone with my thoughts.

At lunch, I sit with First, Ja, and Pai, pretending to laugh when they joke.
Pai watches me quietly, his eyes sharp but kind, and Ja keeps whispering something to First, who nods without looking at me.
They know something’s off.

I just hope they never find out how broken I actually feel.

---

PAI’S POV

Rain’s smile doesn’t reach his eyes anymore.
And Sky — that guy — is glued to him like a shadow.
Every break, every walk, every stupid excuse to “help.”

I know obsession when I see it.

Ja thinks I’m overreacting, but First agrees something’s wrong.
We promised each other to keep an eye on Rain without making him feel cornered.

Still… the way Sky looks at him, it’s not care.
It’s possession.

---

FIRST’S POV

Ja was pacing outside the gym, his energy all over the place.

“Something’s gonna happen, I can feel it,” he muttered. “That guy — Sky — he’s too calm. It’s fake.”

I sighed, rubbing my temple. “We can’t just punch him because of a gut feeling.”

Ja stopped pacing and looked at me. “Would you rather wait until Rain breaks again?”

That shut me up.

We both turned when Pai came out from the gym doors, towel slung over his shoulder.

“He’s walking home alone today,” Pai said quietly. “Sky’s got detention.”

Ja raised a brow. “How do you know that?”

Pai smiled faintly. “Let’s just say… I might’ve suggested it to a teacher.”

Ja chuckled darkly. “Remind me never to get on your bad side.”

---

RAIN’S POV

Walking home alone should’ve felt peaceful.
But for some reason, the silence felt heavier than usual.

Every car that passed made my heart jump.
Every sound behind me made me turn.

Maybe I’ve just been too anxious lately.
Maybe I’m imagining things.

Still… when I reached the gate of my house, I could’ve sworn I heard a voice whisper my name from behind the fence.

“Rain…”

I spun around — but there was no one there.
