As usual, Sky and I were sitting in the cafeteria when a new student approached and asked if he could sit with us. Sky looked at me, silently asking permission, and I just nodded. Sky understood and told the new student to sit.
He introduced himself, and we exchanged names.
I guess he’s not bad… maybe we could get along.
And just like that, I made a new friend today.

Next Day
Sky and I were waiting for Rain in front of the school gate. After a while, he appeared, flashing that cute little smile of his. He looked like a bunny.

“Hurry up, bunny,” I called, and as I turned toward the corridor, I saw Ja walking by. He greeted everyone with his usual bright smile.

My heart skipped a beat. I quickly looked away toward Sky and Rain, trying not to stare. Rain, curious as always, asked who his seatmate was.
“He’s Phayu, an alpha,” I replied quickly.
I noticed Rain thinking deeply about the name. Meanwhile, behind us, I heard Phayu’s deep voice. I turned, and, as I suspected, it was him. But the way he was looking at Rain… it was almost like he was sizing him up.
Interesting, I thought, watching Rain head into class.
When I entered my own classroom, I found Ja already sitting at my seat. His sweet smile made me internally groan.
“Why are you sitting here? Go back to your seat,” I said, trying to sound firm.
He pouted like an abandoned puppy. Okay… my heart couldn’t handle this.
“Just thought I’d sit here today. Please?” he begged playfully.
I sighed. Why can’t I say no to him?
“Fine… but only for today,” I said. As I sat down beside him, his whole face lit up.

The first class passed uneventfully. When packing my things, I saw Sky and Rain approaching. We discussed our schedules. I didn’t want to go to my next class, but Rain and Sky dragged me along.
Meanie… can’t let me skip a single class.
In class, I overheard a few students gossiping about something happening in the washroom. I didn’t pay much attention — it sounded like the usual troublemakers — but I silently hoped no one would get hurt.

Lunch Break
Rain and I were in the cafeteria, waiting for Sky to join. While looking around, I noticed Ja sitting with Phayu and Pai at their usual spot.
Why is he so cute… and sexy? I thought, stealing a glance.
Rain suddenly asked something that made me freeze:
“First, do you like Phayu?”
“WTF, bro?!” I said, making a face.
“But I saw you looking at him from time to time,” Rain teased.
“I was looking at his friend, dude!” I replied quickly, realizing I had almost admitted staring at Ja.
Rain noticed the three of them too. I explained:
“That’s Ja — he’s nice, flirty but doesn’t do hookups. Pai is a playboy, so stay away, but if he’s your friend, you’re safe. And your seatmate, Phayu — cold, hardly talks, but his looks get fangirls everywhere. Sometimes he bullies students, and he’s even been suspended.”
I thought I saw Rain pouting a little, but maybe I was imagining it.
After that, we chatted about random things. I asked Rain how many exes he had; he told me one. Then he tried to ask who I was staring at — I shooed him away, sticking my tongue out.
Sky messaged saying he wasn’t feeling well and would head home. We told him not to worry about notes; we’d share them later.

After lunch, Rain said he needed to use the washroom, and we went our separate ways for the next classes.
Finally, school ended. Freedom! I was walking toward my locker when I saw Rain up ahead.
“Rain! RAINNN!” I called, but he didn’t respond.
Did something happen? I thought.
I snuck up behind him and spanked his ass.
“What the hell?!” he exclaimed, rubbing the spot and turning around.
Aw… he looks so cute, I thought, giving him my goofy smile. He smiled back a little, and I could tell something had happened to him today.
“Why did you spank me?” he asked, pouting and pretending to be angry.
“Well, you weren’t responding when I called. Thought this would bring you out of your daydream,” I said, still smiling.
He shook his head at my answer.
“Why were you calling me anyway?” he asked, arms crossed.
“I remembered why I came! My birthday’s next week — I’m turning 17! I’m throwing a party, and I want you there!” I said, practically bouncing with excitement. Turning 17 meant we could finally smell our mates’ pheromones — a big deal for omegas like Rain and me alphas like Phayu and ja.
I really hope Ja ends up being my mate, I thought, grinning.
I rambled about how excited I was and the party plans. Eventually, we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways — his house was in the opposite direction.
As I reached the back of the school, I overheard a group of boys talking about someone being bullied.
Wait… Rain looked sad today. Did they bully him? I wondered. These idiots don’t know who they’re messing with. I’ll ask Rain tomorrow, and if they did… they’re going to regret it.
