RAIN POV:
The person who opened the stall was Pai.
He looked at me while I sat on the floor, tears running down my face, and gently helped me up. He guided me to sit on the sink counter.
Pai: “Rain, wait here. I’ll just go grab a shirt from my locker for you.”
He said it like he already knew this might happen, but I didn’t have the energy to ask why.
While he was gone, I tried to calm myself. When he returned, he had a clean shirt and a small towel. He started gently drying my hair, his face creasing into a small frown as if worried.
After a few minutes, he handed me the shirt.
Pai: “Here, change into this. Don’t worry about returning it. You can even keep it if you want.”
I couldn’t help but think: Never knew a playboy could be this caring.
It was funny how it hadn’t even been a week, and yet bullying had already started.
After helping me, Pai escorted me to my next class and then went on his way.
I didn’t even get a chance to thank him properly, but I knew I would find a way later.
I went to the last desk and sat down, my mind still reeling.
The teacher began the lesson, but I couldn’t focus. My thoughts drifted to the past.
Memories I had tried to bury resurfaced — how students used to laugh at me, how “friends” had treated me, the way all eyes seemed to burn into me with hatred. The whispers, the names, the mockery:
"Faggot."
"What a slut."
"He cheats. He’s a whore."
"Look at his face… pretty and fuckable."
I didn’t want to remember. But the memories came anyway, sharp and cold.
I didn’t want history to repeat itself. I didn’t want to feel that humiliation again.
The bell rang, signaling the end of class and the school day. I walked to my locker, trying to collect my things while lost in thought.
Suddenly, First appeared and… spanked me on the ass.
Rain: “What the hell?!” I exclaimed, rubbing the spot and turning around.
He just gave me his goofy smile, and I couldn’t help but smile a little myself.
Rain: “Why did you do that?”
First: “You weren’t responding when I called. Figured this would snap you out of your daydream.”
I shook my head at him, crossing my arms.
Rain: “And why were you calling me anyway?”
First: “Oh! I just remembered why I came. My birthday’s next week — I’m turning seventeen. I’m throwing a party, and I want you to be there!”
You might not know, but in our world, turning seventeen is important. It’s when omegas can start smelling pheromones, find their mates, and begin experiencing heat. Alphas start their rut at this age too.
I looked at First as he rambled about how excited he was. Honestly, I forgot about what had happened earlier.
For now, I decided to focus on what I did have — a few friends, and moments of safety and warmth.
But deep down, I knew that when I was alone, the dark memories of the past would resurface.
Until then, I would just try to enjoy the present.
