Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm went off. It's the first day of school. Ugh. I checked my phone for messages.
When you get out of school today wait for me in the back. -Dean.
I can't believe my mom is letting me get to know him and get close to him. I better get my lazy ass out of bed.
"First day of school, first impression. Better make one that sticks." I thought out loud. I chose a black muscle shirt and black shorts that go to my midthigh with the previously mentioned vans. I wore a black chocker with the black half of the Yin Yang, my girlfriend, Alice, has the other half. We've been together since mid September of eighth grade. I don't wear make up. I did wear a silver bracelet that is made of looping hearts, like the chain bracelets, only with hearts. Alice gave it to me for my fifteenth birthday. I went downstairs to the kitchen and made an egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast with some coffee.
"Good morning Cassidy. Did Dean tell you that he's taking you out after school?" Mom asked.
"He said he was picking me up but he didn't say we were going out." I said.
"Do you have your backpack with all the supplies?" Mom asked.
"It's upstairs." I finished my sandwich and coffee then got my backpack.
It's a black Oulanshi and my reading glasses are in one of the side pockets along with my lanyard. The frames are rectangular and black and my lanyard is Black Veil Brides. I'm ready to be back in a classroom but at the same time it's gut-wrenching.
"Okay mom, I'm ready to go." I said as I came down the stairs. I couldn't find her. "Mom? Mom where are you?" I called out.
I went into the garage and found her lying on the cement floor, twisted and covered in blood. I called Dean and he picked up almost immediately.
"What's up Cassidy?" Dean asked.
"It's- it's my mom! She's laying on the floor covered and blood and- please help!" I was hysterical and crying.
"Calm down, it's gonna be okay. Where are you?" Dean said calmly.
"In my garage. Please Dean, I need your help." I said through the sobs.
"I'll be there in ten minutes or less just stay there and call the police." Dean said then hung up. I did as he said.
"This is 911, what's your emergency?" A lady said.
"My mom is dead on the floor of my garage, please send help!" I yelled hysterically.
"What is your location?" She asked. I answered.
"The police and paramedics are on their way." The lady said.
"Thank you." I said, hanging up.
Five minutes later, Dean and police and paramedics showed up.
"Are you okay?" Dean asked. I shook my head, tears still streaming down my face.
"Where's the body?" A police officer asked.I motioned for them to follow me. Dean asked if I'd be okay to go to school and I said yes, so he took me. The police said they'd be waiting here for me to get home.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay at school?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." I said, leaning against the window of the passenger seat.
"Call me when school lets out." Dean said.
"One fifty is the final dismissal bell." I said. We pulled up to the front entrance.
"See you later Dean." I said, getting out of the car.
