When everyone was finally in their tents at night Jesse came back from his walk through the woods. He made sure to leave markers so he wouldn't get lost on the way back. He was amazed at what he found but he couldn't really appreciate it when something so much prettier was back at camp.

He walked through the tents that were spread apart enough so people could sneak around and not get caught. He heard a few deep whispers coming from Ivan and Alice's tent that he was expecting of course and the light in Aiden and Luna's tent was on.

He stopped in front of Keenan and India's tent which he noticed was a tad bit bigger than the rest. That still didn't help his raging jealousy.

"India," he whispered next to the flap of the opening. "India," he whispered again. He was about to try again when there was a response.

"What do you want," she whispered back.

"Come out here," he said softly, a smile playing on his lips. He was glad that she hadn't ignored him. "I need to talk to you."

"Can't it wait until morning," she whined.

"If you don't come out here soon than I'll scream bloody murder and wake everyone up," he threatened. Jesse knew from how easily she blushed that she didn't like attention.

"Fine, fine," she said, rushing to open the door. She tumbled out, landing by Jesse's feet.

"Are you alright," he asked, helping her to her feet. She nodded her head with red cheeks that Jesse could see from the moonlight. He didn't want to think about how pretty her hair looked with the natural light shining on it. She looked like some sort of goddess.

"What did you need to talk about," she whispered.

Jesse bit his lip and looked around. Honestly he didn't really need to talk to her about anything; he only wanted to see her.

"Um I wanted to ask how you know Keenan," Jesse mumbled. It was a good response as any because he was wondering about it.

"He's my friend," she replied, holding her arms closer to her body in the cold. "We study together some times."

Jesse took off his leather jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders without her permission. She looked up at him a little surprised and Jesse thought he looked the same way. He didn't even think about offering her his jacket, he just did it on impulse.

"That's uh cool," Jesse whispered once he recovered.

"What about Aurora? How do you know her? Didn't she just move here?"

"She's my neighbor actually," Jesse told her uncomfortably, he didn't know why.

"Oh," India whispered, disappointed. Somehow the knowledge of them being so close all the time made everything worse. "I'm tired so I'm going back to bed."

She turned to face the tent before Jesse grabbed her arm. "That's it," he asked. "We hardly talked."

"Well I'm tired," she retorted, "now let me go." She shrugged off his hand and knelt down to crawl back through the flap of the door.

"Did I do something wrong," he asked before she could disappear.

"My friends warned me about you Jesse Cress and I believe them. I won't let you anywhere near me so please, do us both a favor and pretend like the other day didn't happen. Besides," she huffed, "I don't think your girlfriend would appreciate it if we keep talking."

Jesse stood frozen in shock as India crawled into the tent and zipped it back up behind her. He didn't want to believe that India was like all the others, she looked down upon him because of what his father did. He hated being blamed for his father's mistakes but he hated that India was no better than the rest of them.

He spun around and stomped back to his own tent. Jesse didn't care if he broke India's heart or not anymore, he didn't care if he smashed it on the ground and stepped on it. He was going to make her pay, he was going to make them all pay for turning their backs on him because his Dad murdered his own wife.

Keenan tried to hide his smile as India settled back in her sleeping bag next to him. He heard everything that was spoken just outside his tent. He believed he had a chance now. If India steered clear of Jesse like she said she would than Keenan wouldn't have to watch his back as he went after Aurora.

Keenan waited in silence as India fell asleep, or well tried. Everyone in the camp was suddenly awake from Alice's moaning in Ivan's tent.

"Can't you gag her," Aurora screamed from her tent, making almost everyone laugh, including Keenan.

Half an hour later India finally managed to succumb to sleep with her nose pressed up against Jesse's leather jacket.
