A short while after Aurora and Keenan left, India slipped away from the group. They don't offer her much attention but only because Luna isn't with them. India has always known Luna to be protective of her and she was grateful for it but she couldn't help that she was really worried about Jesse.

She didn't want to admit she had any feelings for him because she didn't think she had, she did make a promise after all to her friends, but she couldn't ignore the fact that Jesse was missing. And of course that he wasn't in fact dating Aurora, but India tried to push that to the back of her mind. It didn't matter; she couldn't be with him anyways.

She walked into the woods, making sure to bring bear mace if she accounted any danger.

She had never gone through the woods alone and she was sure she wasn't made for it, that's why she found herself lost twenty minutes later.

She shouted Jesse's, Keenan's, and even Aurora's name, hoping at least some one would hear her. But she got no response so in a fit of despair she sat down on a boulder and waited.

India thought that in time after she calmed down she would be able to find her way back but more than enough time passed and India was too afraid to even get up. If she walked any farther than she could be walking in the opposite direction of the camp for all she knew. She decided to play it safe and wait where she was.

Time passed with her shouting people's names every once in a while but still she got no response so she decided to calm herself down by singing. It was an exercise she learned years ago when she was in the middle of a bad situation. For some reason the sound of her own voice always soothed her.

Her father wouldn't let her watch TV or play video games but he did let her listen to a few artists but only his favorites such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

Her favorite was Johnny Cash because of the stories he told in his songs. She knew a lot of them by heart so she sang Jackson, her all-time favorite until she forgot all about being lost in the woods. Soon she was singing song after song, getting off the boulder and dancing around to her own voice. She sang Folsom Prison Blues, A Boy Named Sue, and God's Gonna Cut You Down.

Halfway through the last song she spotted Jesse leaning against a tree. She squealed in surprise and stumbled back. Jesse stood up straight, his lips turning into a thin line. India was beyond relieved to see him but she was afraid of what he was thinking. His eyes held no answers and his posture was stiff as a board, his arms crossed in front of him life a shield.

His hair was dripping wet and his chest was bare of any cloth, showing his pale skin and a tattoo along his rib cage. India could see that it was something written in another language, Latin perhaps but before she could inquire more Jesse yanked his shirt back on.

"Didn't your mother ever teach you it's impolite to stare," he snarled.

India gulped and bowed her head. She was ashamed because he was right; she was bluntly staring at his body.

"What are you doing out here alone," he asked, the same amount of venom in his voice.

"I came to find you," she whispered. India was sure she could resemble a tomato from how hot her cheeks were.

"Find me huh," he mused after a short while. He stepped over rocks and grass to approach her. "What am I to you, a prince that needs to be saved? Or wait I guess I'm the street rat, so why bother?"
