<<Chapter 15: We Don't Believe What's On The Smart Board>>

"Hey, did you see that bacon thing Kate posted yesterday? Oh my lord," Natalia laughs as she asks Sloane; I'm walking up towards them since I just arrived at school.

"Yeah, I'm in that chat too, you walnut. But honestly, that was just the best," Sloane busts out in laughter, shaking her head slightly at my idiocy before glancing up towards me. I grin widely and see Rachel walking towards us as well.

"Wow, Kate, bacon sizzles? Really?" Natalia says mid-laughter.

"I am never eating bacon again, why must you do this, Kate?!" Sloane laughs along with the rest of us, rolling her eyes at me at the same time. While she may be a lesbian, she isn't really into all that sexual stuff. It's pretty hilarious actually how she usually reacts to Matt's crude jokes. I guess one could say that she's both asexual and lesbian.

It's Friday, the finale to our first week of this dumb ethics course. After today, we'll be halfway through! Thank the lord mighty Jesus...

"Class, today we're going to be watching a movie! How exciting!" Dr. Silverman, the ethics teacher, calls out--sarcasm dripping from his voice like water from a leaky faucet.

Tyler turns towards his friends behind him, exaggeratedly mouthing 'kill me know' and rolling his eyes before making eye contact with me and grinning. In other words, he makes my insides melt like marshmallows over the fire (yet again).

"Uhh, what's the movie called?" I call out to Dr. Silverman.

"Flow I think? Something like that..." He responds, fumbling around with the smart board cables to hook up the movie.

"Are they actually going to teach a course on periods so that guys realize how insensitive they are? Finally! Dear god, took them long enough, am I right?" Farrah whisper-yells, turning towards me and swiveling around in her chair.

"Uh... Farrah... I hate to break it to you, but--"

"Aww shit." Farrah grunts, pouting like a child who didn't get her way when she looks up at the screen. So apparently, the movie title was an acronym.

For the
Love
Of
Water

Also, apparently, it's a two-hour long documentary!
*stabs self*
*dies*
*stabs self again in afterlife*

The documentary begins, and Dr. Silverman shushes the class before passing out our provided snacks. Since it's a course over summer break, they're providing chips and water during the designated snack period--but because we're short on time today, this movie happens to play right on through our snack break where we'd usually get to go outside and "converse with our fellow classmates". Thanks a lot, teachers.

I feel a poke on my right shoulder, and I turn towards Farrah and raise an eyebrow. "Yes?" I whisper.

Farrah begins to whisper in a harsh tone: "What the hell is this? This is the biggest load of bullshit I've ever seen in my life. Water is free? Um, no. Welcome to America!" She finishes, causing me to practically shove my sweater in my mouth to stop from laughing too loudly. Tyler seems to notice, turning around and raising an eyebrow at me with an amused look crossing his face.

I finally calm down after a minute or so, glancing over at Dr. Silverman to make sure he isn't paying attention (he's got his headphones in and is watching something on his own laptop), before turning back towards Farrah. "Yeah, there's no way that even half of this stuff is true... Also, this documentary is really repetitive," I sigh.

"Yeah, tell me about it." She whispers in return, rolling her eyes at the stupidity of the flowing documentary.

Two long-as-fuck hours later, and we finally got let out for the day. Rachel, Sloane, and I had headed to dance and taken the class, and Rachel and I are now currently in her car on our way back to her house. Unfortunately, we have a hell of a lot of homework this weekend. Well, I guess when they compress a semester course into two weeks over the summer... Shit happens.

"You know what? We should go to the movies tomorrow!" Rachel nudges me whilst we're stopped at a red light, pulling up movie times and showings on her phone.

"I haven't seen that one," I pitch in, pointing towards one of the options listed on her phone.

"Oh my god, it's great... We should totally watch it! Here, you look it up," Rachel swiftly tosses her phone in my lap when the light turns green, directing her focus back towards the road as we near her driveway.

"Wait, so you've seen it already?" I ask hesitantly, being that it's one of the only good movies in theaters at the moment.

"Yeah, but I'd totally want to go again."

"Okay, how's 4:00 sound?" I ask as Rachel pulls into her driveway.

"Works for me! Anyone else you want to invite?" She gets out of her car and shuts the door, and I follow suit.

"Um... How about Tyler? And Preston maybe, so Tyler isn't all by himself," I ask with a hint of excitement. I guess I'm one of those people that wears their emotions on their sleeves, so to speak.

"Okay...." Rachel drags out, winking at me as we enter her house and head up the stairs to her bedroom.

"What? He's cute and he's really funny," I giggle. Oh dear, this guy is really stating to get to me.

"If you say so..." Rachel laughs, nodding her head and shrugging in agreement.

A/N: Thanks for reading! I'm so sorry for the slow update, but school just started back up for me and my teachers gave me a shit-ton of homework. Also, I'm a measly little freshman in high school now, so the whole school atmosphere is definitely.... interesting.

Well I hope everyone had a great summer, and thank you so much for reading my story! Please please PLEASE vote and comment and let me know what you think!
