Irony Is A Bitch

(Clementine's Pov)

I looked over to Violet a bit as she just stayed quiet. I placed my hand gently on her leg and she looked to me a bit and smiled and I smiled back to her. She placed her hand on top of mine and I think for a bit as the others talked about the plan. I already told Violet that we would be heading south for a bit, there were plenty of places to stop at with the directions I remember when AJ and I had gone through on our way here. She doesn't say anything and I moved a bit so she would look at me but she seemed to be interested in her shoes right now. Omar hands her another cup of warm broth and she looked up and took it gently and I look to her as she took a drink.

"Alright, best get packing now and get some sleep." Marlon says and I nod and I help Violet up and she finished the broth and hands the cup to Omar. We head to her room and AJ went to get a spare bag. When he got it, I grabbed a bag and so did Violet as she packed her bag.

"Hey is everything ok?" I asked her and she looked to me and nods.

"Yeah, everything is fine, just... uh trying to think of what to do when we leave... we haven't really left this area you know." She tells me and I nod at this. This was going to be new for all of them, they've only been here in this area for years.

"Well, I'll be your tour guide, though I know something else is bothering you." I say to her and she looked to her bag a bit and then to me.

"I-." She stopped when we heard a banging at the door and I look to her and we went and saw Mitch.

"Walkers are already here." He pants and Violet pushed on by as she grabbed her rifle. Mitch looked to me then to where Violet went and we hurry to her as she got to the door. We opened the door a bit and saw a bunch of the Walkers by the gate and then we closed the doors and I rubbed my head a bit. I clear my throat a bit and look to see Marlon and Aasim come over to us.

"Whole place is surrounded, there is literally no way out." Aasim informs us and I tried to think of something.

"We wouldn't even be able to grab any Walkers to cover ourselves up in their scent, we don't know who is a Whisperer or if there are any there right now." Marlon tells us and I nod.

"Only thing we can do is wait, if they have someone in there watching us, they have to get some sleep." I tell them.

"They might change in shifts though; we're fucked either way." Mitch says and I look back to Violet. She looked deep in thought and I place my hand on her shoulder and she looked to me a bit and then to the door.

"We'd have to open the gate and let them in, in order to do that, and that's dangerous on its own... and the whole place is surrounded." She mutters and I move my hand off her shoulder and I look to the others as they come over to us.

"We should try and escape from the back but they could have someone there as well, maybe even on the sides too, we don't know how big the group is on their own, I doubt they'd try and kill us but that one guy." She mutters again.

"Best option we have is the back." Marlon says and the rest start to talk over each other. I tried to keep track of what each person was saying but I couldn't and I shake my head a bit. There was no point in trying to talk to the Whisperers but we can't stay here. Maybe they're going to wait for us to try and give up and go with them? Everyone stopped talking once we heard a loud crash and we hurried to look out the window to see the gate had been broken off and had fallen to the ground.

"Shit... shit." Louis says panicked and Mitch, Marlon, and Aasim hurried to get some stuff to barricade the door and Violet ran up the stairs.

"Jesus fuck, where is she going?" Louis says as he went to help the guys and I hurried to follow her. She was in Marlon's office and looking out the window. I see her looking around a bit and I go over to her and look as well. There has to be an exit there is always and exit in a heard. I see an opening and point to it and she nods as we hurry back down just as the Walkers were trying to break the door down. We hurry over to the others and Violet automatically goes to move the barricade.
