I grinned and walked toward the TARDIS box.

We'd had three weeks of sitting in a large room with the entire cast just reading through lines. We'd read until we hadn't needed scripts anymore. Which for me only took two of those three weeks.

Now we were on to practicing on set.

We'd start filming next week.

I smiled as I ran my hands over the wood of the blue box. I circled the box, then walked back to the front and grabbed the handle. I knew that it pushed in, not out, despite what the sign on the door said.

"Hey there girlie. Hands off the merchandise," I heard someone say behind me. I turned to see Matt standing behind me.

I laughed, "Girlie? I'm nineteen. Not exactly a little girl."

He shook his head, "She's still mine though!"

I covered my mouth, trying not to laugh, "She?"

Matt looked at me shocked, "Have you never watched the show before?! Her soul even went into a woman! And when I talk to her I even call her-"

"Sexy," I said cutting him off, "You call her Sexy. I've watched the show. That was a lovely episode by the way. Suranne portrayed the human TARDIS exceptionally well."

Matt stared at me, "You don't talk like a nineteen year old. What nineteen year old calls things 'lovely' and says that people did something 'exceptionally well'?"

"Uh...me?"

He shook his head and laughed a bit. Before he could say anything else though, the director called everyone to him.

"All right everyone. We're running through scene one. Jana, I need you over there. Matt, there. And the extras can go to their assigned spots. Oh yes, Jana!"

I looked up startled. "Yessss," I said questioningly, drawing out the 's'.

"The woman who is playing your mother isn't here today, her actual daughter is ill. So we had your mum come in to read lines with you," the director explained.

I nodded, smiled and walked to my place, just as my mother hurried over with a script in her hand.

"Isn't this fun honey? We're going to get to-"

I placed my hand over her mouth, "Please Mum. Today, your job is to read through these lines with as much emotion as needed, do everything in the stage directions, and try not to embarrass me. Got it?"

She nodded, chuckling a bit.

Everyone got into their places an the director yelled, "Action!"

Four hours later, we'd run through half the show. The director had stopped us multiple times to correct things, and we'd had an hour long break for lunch.

By this time it was 7:30 pm. Everyone was packing up. I just had to grab my bag, water, car keys and phone, so after I'd gotten my stuff I started to leave. I stopped however when I heard someone calling my name.

I turned around expecting it to be one of the extras who wanted my autograph, that way they could tell people they'd gotten my autograph before I was famous. But it wasn't. It was Matt. I sighed thinking I'd forgotten something.

"Hey Matt. What's up? Did I leave something? Oh gosh, knowing me I must've-"

He shook his head, "No you didn't leave anything of yours. I just wanted to say, you make a good companion. It's like you were made for the job."

I laughed, "Are you flirting Smith?"

I watched as he blushed. "Wh-what? Flirting? With y-you? I.. That's not.. You..."

I giggled as he stuttered and tried to form an answer. He finally realized I had been teasing.

"Oh you. You're good! I can't believe you," Matt laughed.

I smiled and watched him. He wasn't that bad looking. But I would never go after him. There was an eleven year age difference between us. Yes, my mum and dad had had a fourteen year difference between them, but I doubt my mum would approve.

Matt noticed me watching and stopped laughing, "What? What's wrong? Is there something on my face? Good god girl what is it?!"

I laughed and shook my head, "Nothing. You just have a nice laugh."

"Well now Miss Cole," Matt said smirking, "I'd say you're the one that's flirting with me now."

I blushed when I realized what I'd said. "Oh god I didn't mean it like that. I just meant that- Oh my god. I hate you," I laughed, playfully hitting his arm. That's when I realized, oh my god, we are flirting.

I didn't let Matt notice I'd realized this. I don't know if he'd even realized it himself.

All of a sudden I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt a hand touch my arm. "You alright there Cole?"

"Just peachy Smith," I laughed, "So what did you need from me?"

"Oh nothing. Just wanted to talk. And see if you wanted to come to my place. I was having some people over to sort of celebrate you joining the cast."

I grinned, "Love to."

A/N:

So because I didn't get the chance to update before, I made this chapter sort of long for you guys.

And question, what do you think of Matt and Jana? Does anyone ship them yet? If you do, you'd better come up with some ship names, because I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. And I'm the one writing the story.

Ha. I'm funny. Except not really.

Well this note was sort of long.

Bye babes.
